I'm in need of some new shows to start.  I feel like I've watched every show worth watching on Netflix Instant Stream.  Any recommendations?  Here's a list of shows I've watch most if not all seasons of.  I've ranked them from best to worst (in my opinion):

1. The Sopranos
2. The Wire
3. Breaking Bad
4. Dexter
5. Homeland
6. Luther (VERY underrated, wish BBC would have ran more than 2 seasons)
7. Boardwalk Empire
8. Lost
9. 24
10. Burn Notice
11. The League

Most of my friends are hooked on Prison Break, something to check out. I haven't started it yet but I've heard its pretty good.

The Walking Dead, no doubt. It's one of the most popular shows on TV. Each episode ends with a cliff hanger, which makes you watch the next episode. You will get addicted quickly. I've watched each episode multiple times. I can't wait until Season 3 resumes on February 10.

I feel kind of embarrassed saying this but I've watched every show you've listed and liked them all, much in the order you put them in. With that said I would recommend:

Prison Break
Game of Thrones
Californication
Damages
Weeds
Mad Men
Shameless
The Inbetweeners

That freaking show was like crack. I literally watched the first 4 seasons in 6 days. It's like a modern day drawn out Shawshank Redemption.

Add this to lists already posted:

Deadwood (HBO Go)

I'm into season 1 of Alias. Kinda fun. Jennifer Gardner beating the daylights out of some really big guys. Story is probably stretched out more than it needs to be except to fill up the entire season. But you do get Jennifer Gardner. Prison Break and 24 do so also, IMHO. These shows remind me of the old serials at the movies - Batman, Buck Rogers. A cliffhanger at the end of every episode. Okay, I just showed my age there.

The Wire and Breaking Bad are musts.

There are about 6 or 7 season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Instant now if you're looking for comedy.

The IT Crowd is a pretty funny, and short, 4 seasons, maybe 25 total episodes but it's worth a watch for sure.

I've heard a lot of good things about Battlestar Galactica but haven't watched it myself.

Let's not forget the 17 seasons of Top Gear on Instant if you're into that kind of thing.

Forgot to add that I watched all of Prison Break and most of Deadwood. Both very good. Prison Break got a little crazy in the later seasons but the first couple were great.

I've had a couple friends recommend Walking Dead and SoA so may give those a go.

What about Damages? Who has seen that?

I did randomly find a really awful golf-related movie on there called "Golf Balls!" At least it's one of the few things I've seen on Netflix containing topless women. The only thing memorable I got out of it was the fact that some of it was filmed at Carolina Golf Club in FL, where I used to play often in the winter.

Both breaking bad and lost I watched pretty much until I couldn't watch anymore. The worst is after finishing them when you don't know what to do with your life, haha.

BBC is filming another season of Luther. It will be four episodes long I believe but the episodes will run very long. Movie length from what I've read.

Supernatual should be heavily considered. All seasons except for the current season are on Netflix. I was hesitant at first but now adore the show.

I believe The Shield is on Netflix.  That wasn't on your list.  I thought that was a great series.

How I met your Mother is fun.

I like catching up with Dr. Who.

That they have all the past seasons of Top Gear is a bonus. :stig:

Oh, and for a movie, if you're into B rated flicks... "Iron Sky". :) Could be another Fifth Element type movie. Lots of quotables.

Someone at work told me the same thing, that they may be making another season of Luther.  I really hope so because I thought that show was phenomenal.  I'm actually encouraged to hear they are going to make it more a long movie type of series (kind of like "Band of Brothers") ... I always thought the show was better suited for that and had more of a movie type of feel to it.

I've seen random episodes here and there and from what I've heard, this seems to be the general consensus; it dropped significantly after season 2 or 3.

I'm not much of a zombie or vampire person, but I think I could get into Walking Dead from all the great things I have heard about it.

True Blood ... I just can't do it.  I gave my brother so much grief for watching that show that I couldn't live with myself if I started.
