The Method line (not Core) was really the first legitimate push from Nike into the premium putter market. Until then they seem to have put a lot more effort into the rest of the bag. So putting that into perspective, they're relatively new to the premium market, which it seems most people here on WRX are into. For their first big attempt at a milled putter, I'd say the Method line was done pretty well. They just haven't established enough of a history of quality putters like some of their competitors.
Already mentioned: headshapes. Although between the Medthod and Method Midnight lines, there are a couple nice headshapes, compared to other putter lines at or around the Method's price point, you can get something with a bit more artistry. I love the headshap of the new Midnight 006, especially that thick, flat, top line. The finish however looks like something you'd see on a $150 Odyssey at Dick's Sporting Goods.
Lack of pro use. Let's face it. In the grand sceme of things the more golf fans see their favorite pros, or just pros in general using a certain putter, driver, etc, the more we'll give that club or clubs a shot. Besides Tiger Woods, is there any other golfer the average golf fan cares about, that bags a Method? Nope. Hopefully for Nike, they can get a Method in Rory's bag, as well as some of the other guys they've been picking up lately.

Nike isn't a big golf name? Oh.. I guess Tiger Woods is a amateur in your world too right?
And I know many many scratch players who play i20 irons and S56 irons. Please don't try to tell people
Your false ideas.
And for the putters many people prefer odyssey or ping or bettinardi or scotty and so on.
But because Nike is known for their quality clothes and shoes I find it hard to think of them as a golf equipment brand. (But don't get me wrong it is just as big as any golf brand in the market, just not as popular)

I do agree with the above posters on head shape/design. Their 002 doesn't have a sightline on the flange (I custom made my own). The dot on the 001. The double line on the 005 The only one they got right was the 003. Just some odd choices. They should have just stuck with the norm on the Method Milled Series and left the crazy innovation and experiments to the "Core" series.

It didn't sound like he was knocking Nike. Truth is, unlike Titleist, Callaway, etc, they are NOT known first and foremost for golf. Heck, I've even played Nike irons for 8 years and I still think of them for shoes, workout clothes, etc first.
That doesn't mean any of the equipment he listed is inferior, just why some people may stay away. For some reason, if an OEM's sole focus isn't everything golf, some people don't consider them completely "legit".

Please don't try and tell people YOUR false ideas. Their stuff falls apart just as fast as everyone else's.

So with Nike trying to fit every golfer into a 342 gram head, they exclude a lot of people. If Nike developed putters with changeable weights and used Tiger and Rory to help market them, I think Nike would sell a lot more putters.
