Does anybody know what the deal is with this driver? So there are three options for the R1 it looks this year?  R1, R1 TP, and R1 Super TP.   It looks awesome and a must have for 2013.  The prices are $399, $499, and $899.  Can't wait to try one of these!

Shaft choices.  That's about it.  And probably tip diameter.

Yeah, I noticed it on the Taylormade website.  It shows that they have the R1, R1 TP and the R1 Super TP.  The Kiyoshi White graphics also look different than the TP R1 Graphics.  Are there any other shafts for the Super?  I thought in the past all TP Taylormade shafts were .335 and the regular product line was .350  I could be wrong.  Regardless I still can't wait to give this driver a try!  Will these be in stores?  I don't see Golfsmith and the other big stores offering the Super.  If not where can i try one.

So if the heads are all the same it would seem that $500 for a kiyoshi shaft is insane.God I hope no one falls for this.Go on ebay and buy the kiyoshi for $150 if that shaft works for you. They tried this with the superdeep and most people waited for the price to plummet before jumping in only to find out it was a dud.I loved the look of the superdeep but it just did not live up to the hype.Heck with the exception of a couple of guys on the senior tour even the staffers hated it.My 2 cents

You can get a 913 with Kiyoshi White for $600-$620 so $900 for an R1 with that shaft is ridiculous.  Sick shaft btw.

Where does it show the Kiyoshi White and Fuji Tour Specs as custom options for the R1?  I am not seeing them on Taylormade's website

if you click to buy, the next option is to customize.  there you can pick the shaft length and it also shows the TP shafts with the upcharge.  Like madison said, the Kiyoshi and the Tour Spec 7.2 appear to be TP shafts with no upcharge (compared to the Tour AD which was like $100 - so $599 for the driver + Tour AD).

TM always seems to get hammered for offering crappy stock shafts but if you get the TP version, it seems like a lot of decent shafts with no upcharge.  They should do a better job marketing that as this was the first that i've heard of it in all the R1 threads.
