I agree. I love the crown on the ping and callaway woods this year. Simple and good looking, imo. I feel a G25, Anser, RFE, and X hot pro driver shootout for me this year...or one Cally and one ping driver... Since I be a club ho...

I think these clubs will blow out the door.
And many of the ones complaining about white and big graphics are the same ones who will buy it. Just like when white first came out and it was immediately dismissed as a marketing disaster. White is everywhere you look, now. This new disaster will be no different.

Honestly, outside of mentioning crown graphics from pics, he didn't mention performance. Any of those clubs noted could shoot mach 3 fireballs off face leaving giant vapor trails, which would have everybody playing them. Regardless, it was just an opinion about aesthetics. To each their own... Personally, not a fan of white clubs with graphics, but I could very well end up with Adams' new driver this year, because I have the fast 12 LS bagged this year, and it is a beast...

I prefer a plain crown, but don't mind a bit small amount of graphic around the edge, like on the R11s or the X Hot, but TM have taken it too far with their 2013 range in my opinion. The 2013 RBZ is just about passable, but the R1 is a mess. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to place a swoosh on the crown of the new Covert driver deserves to be sacked.

Back in the day golfers used a few sets for life. Like finalist said, clubs are like toys and apparel-- in vogue one moment and disposed the next.
Baby boomers and Gen-x make way for the millennials.

It's not in the electromagnetic spectrum because it absorbs all light that shines on it, so it's a shade, not a color.

I dunno, a physics teacher once told me black is the absence of color, but my graphic visualization teacher said black is a color because it's a molecular coloring agent and white is not a color, but my daughter said black is a color because it comes in the Crayon box. However! all three people agreed the new TM drivers are ugly.
That's funny

Some, but not all, look at golf clubs as if they look good. It is the initial attraction to a club. Just as it is to a woman. You do not go for plane Jane all the time. You like a looker. Same concept.
Goes but the old saying "if you do not look good, you do not feel good". I believe this is true to golf clubs. If you do not like the look you have no confidence. If you like the clubs looks it gives you just a bit of extra confidence. Which we all know confidence in golf you try and get as much as you can from anywhere.
