So far it sounds like everyone has had mixed reviews about these. Some of you love the look or concept & others don't seem too keen on them.

I will be the first to say these shoes are the most disappointing release from Adidas I could have ever imagined.  I think they look hideous, nothing at all like the former glory of the adipure, Z, 360s or my favorite nuovos.  I expected something really exciting & a product that looked great.

It seems like they look cheap & plasticy.

Would I wear them if I was a pga tour player? Yes.  Would I purchase them if discounted 50% & golf galaxy was then running 50% off their clearance items? Not a chance.

Adidas, if you are listening right now, please release something solid so I don't have to try on lunar controls... I cannot stand the thought of Nike shoes but everyone talks about how amazing they are.  Please don'tet your supporters down.

Love my Z's but the only criticism I have is that they are heavy. I guess these are the option if I want lighter feet!

I like the look, I am currently down to one pair of shoes (Adipure) so I can see a pair of these coming my way.

I received an email from golfsmith this morning on these and they have several different color options (sorry can't force myself to use the term colorways) on their site.  The Tour model looks ok, pretty subtle styling; the sport is slightly less appealing to the eye.  The description, at least from the email indicates that there is more room in the toe box, which is nice, as much of their offerings are too narrow forcing to size up.

Says you. I need narrow shoes. Adidas makes "wide" versions of many of its shoes, so you wide-footed folks have options already!

New for 2013: Adidas' adizero Tour golf shoe
By Zak Kozuchowski
GolfWRX Managing Editor

Adidas’ new adizero Tour golf shoe is the lightest in the company’s history, weighing only 10.6 ounces. That means its 38 percent lighter than Adidas’ previous high-performance golf shoe, the Tour ATV, making it brag worthy enough for the company to send members of the media a display that suspends the shoe in midair.

Posted Image

But hold on a second -- golfers aren’t running when they’re on the course. So will a lightweight golf shoe really help them on the course?
According to Dav Mattuicci, global marketing manager for Adidas, they can. Mattuici said a golfer who walks 18 holes lifts his legs between 15,000 and 17,000 times. That means the difference between the Tour ATV and the adizero is about 6.5 ounces per step, or if a golfer takes 17,000 steps, about 6900 pounds. Sounds like a fresher golfer to me.

The primary weight savings on the adizero come from the outsole. The shoe’s “SprintFrame” outsole weighs only 3.4 ounces, and is constructed from a high-performance elastomer called Pebax that is strong and flexible. The shoe's upper is wrapped in what Adidas calls “SprintSkin,” a proprietary microfiber leather that is lightweight and waterproof. And despite its compact appearance, the adizero is also a touch wider in the toe section than the Tour ATV, making it more comfortable in that area.

Lightweight, check. Waterproof, check. More comfortable, check. Now what about the outsole?
Posted Image
Unlike most golf shoes, the adizero uses no "secondary traction," meaning it doesn't have any of the big nubs or nobs that are used in most spike and spikeless golf shoes to add additional traction. The lack of secondary traction improves the interaction of the shoe's 10 traditional spikes, which Mattuici said provides a better grip and more stability. There's also a high-abrasion rubber heel crash pad that offers a better heel strike for walking, as well as rounded sections of the outsole that allow golfers to transfer their weight more efficiently through the shot.
The shoe will be released in four different styles (pictured below), and will be available at retail for $180 on Jan. 24. Adidas' staff players will debut the new shoe that week during the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

I like the look. I'll be interested in seeing how supportive they are. Hopefully, they live up the the standard of the 360s.

Got tired of Adidas and got a pair of Puma cell fusions and they ae far more comfortable.

These looks nice enough and weigh so little that I may be giving Adidas a second chance.

I talked to someone who saw the shoe in-person and they thought it looked pretty cool and compared it to "track shoes" that sprinters wear.

I was kind of mixed when I first saw them, but the second that I saw the gray/yellow I was hooked. I don't really know why, they just look very comfortable and light weight. That being said the last time I bought 360's two pairs in a row leaked on me. Haven't bought another Adidas shoe since. These might get a shot.

Comfort is increased 500%. It is unreal how these feel on your feet compared to the 360s

I tried on a pair of the tour's today and they seemed quite nice. I didn't think they were available until the 24th so i was a bit surprised to see them on the shelf.  Anyway, they weren't any more comfortable than my Tour 360's, but they were crazy light.  Inside the box was an extra set of insoles, which is a plus.  The microfiber material is different, though I kinda question the durability of it.  How would you even be able to clean them? I'll still consider getting a pair once the prices drop though (I know that'll be a while).

The sole on the tour looks very rigid, not sure if that is the case or not. The idea of the Frees are that you have freedom in many directions that normal soles don't give you. The are kinda between a regular cushioned shoe with a more rigid one piece sole and a barefoot/minimalist type shoe that really focuses on being as close to barefoot as possible to allow your foot to move.

I don't get the yellow and white tour model. IMO it looks terrible. Some of the other colors are OK, but I don't see any need to look into these over my Adipures or Nuovos.
