single alignment line.  Seems like everything I see in this style (such as White Hot 330 mallet, Never Compromise Connoisseur Perfecto or the new Cleveland Classic HB #10) have 2-3 alignment lines.  Anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks!

If you can wait a little while for the PGA show, the new Scotty Cameron line should be shown in that.  Some think the knucklehead (golo with adjustable plumbers neck) will be coming to retail.  Some also the N5 or M5 will be coming out as well.  Its the same as the knucklehead just a little smaller of a head.

You can use acetone/nail polish remover to undo the alignment paintfill.  This helps a lot.  You see enough of the line to align the ball, but the line doesn't get in the way.  I think that may be why Cameron '12 Selects have the black line.  It makes sense when you get over the ball.  My Anser Milled has the line paintfill removed.

I have the same peeve as you but gave up and went with an Odyssey Protype #7 which has 2 lines like the HB10. Ive gotten used to it but am always on the lookout for a single line version. Some nice candidates are the Japanese market Odyssey IX 5 crank neck (there was one on the BST recently), the TM FO-12 and the new SC Jet Setter GoLo. None of these will come cheap new unfortunately.

For those prices you be better served asking a custom shop like Slighter to build you one exactly the way you want it.

The Red X5 is not quite face balanced - slight toe hang there. It's perfect for my stroke which is a very slight arc. Hope this works for you!

I know it's not as much of a mid mallet as the others, but don't forget the ping B60 style.

1. honey dipped California Sonoma-  mid mallet in my mind, single sight line, does NOT have the "B" shape...which is what probably annoys you about the B60

Posted Image

2.  Wilson 8885 - cheaper option than #1

Posted Image

3.  Ping Shea- little larger than the Sonoma.... identical to Red X for $89 now

Seemore DB4x, has 3 lines on the head... but I'm sure if you talk with them they might be willing to paint over a couple of them for you.

The RC looks pretty nice.

While we're at it, here are some samples from what Slighter has done in the past.

http://www.slighterg...=0&type=Edmonds

I'm sure it'd be easy for them to do one for you with a single sight line.

I personally like this one, maybe with the neck attached a little farther up: http://www.slighterg...pe=Edmonds&pg=0

Also this one, but with a single line: http://www.slighterg...pe=Edmonds&pg=0

I'm guessing these might cost quite a bit, though.

I have a studio select fastback 1.5 that is in near mint condition that I could let go at a reasonable price.

Here are a couple of examples of Custom MACHINE's that we could build for you :)  We can do any of these with a plumber neck :)

Please let me know if I can help.

Thanks in advance

Everyone - thanks so much for the replies.  I tried the Shea but it was too heavy for me.  Don't like the look of the Wilson 8885 even though I'm a WS fan.  Don't think I want to go the custom route just yet.  Very intrigued by the Scotty Cali Sonoma.  How much toe hang does that one have?  I like a little bit of toe hang, anywhere from 3:30 to almost 4:00 seems to be best for me.  Thx again.

I own that Sonoma model (actually stripped the honey dipped finish tonight... I'll post before and after pics tomorrow)...anywho, it has 4:00-4:30 toe hang.   My favorite gamer of all time is a TeI3 Del Mar II, which is the same head shape as the Sonoma, but it has 3 sight lines.

Here is an option that will be right in the same range as the Sonoma that you mentioned, if you are buying new.  It is the new MannKrafted TEN12, "hybrid" crafted.
He has the base heads CNC milled, leaving material in areas that allow for weighting, balance and overall looks to be chosen by the customer.  Part of what is included in the cost is your choice of alignment aids, or lack of any.
Might be worth looking into.  You can have exactly the items that you have mentioned, all in a full custom package that puts a very cool putter on your doorstep in a week to ten days.
Nick and YES, I am a fan of what LaMont is doing.

I've got a circa 62 #6 for sale in the classifieds. Is a plumbers neck, same shape as the B60.

Great putter, only one sight line

Rife Aussie Mallet is a possibility - 3 sight lines, but two are thin and could be painted in real easily.

I just picked up an Odyssey Black Tour 1 wide with the shaft offset in the double bend. To me it plays fairly close to a plumber, and only has a single sight line.
