I think the cavity design looks excellent. I own i20s and am not interested in changing out for G series clubs, but if I was in the market for irons I'd definately be looking at G25s.

How odd - - no comparisons are made to the G20 in this article, but rather the G15 is purposefully used.

Interesting re-design of the club. Definitely looks better. Never hit the G series before. Can you work the ball with them?

Classic Ping design that is somewhat bowing to convention. Ping has been softening the edges of their irons gradually over the years to give the appearance of a "normal" iron. These G25's have embraced this concept with softer and more flowing lines than it's predecessor. Who knows? They may even fit a ferrule for the next G series. Sure to be hit amongst the Ping fans - but it looks like Ping are trying to cast a bigger net in form over function, rather than their utilitarian look of the past. Either way, a solid iron as you would expect.

yup, you and me both man!

I bet these get a lot of tour play. Even just looking at the pics i'd bet these become iconic. The dark finish, narrower soles. It's like re-releasing a better looking G5 to a golf environment where the stigma of GI is now fading away even on tour.

I don't really need these but i can't imagine i won't get them at some point in the next year

Shouldn't be.  Still have G20s on current market.  Don't say they are better; just different.

If the i25 comes out next year with that same finish I may be forced to upgrade my i20's. Those are sick!

+1 on this. That seems to say that a lot of people didn't switch to the G-20's from the G-15's.

How are people comparing these to the x hot pro irons? They are two completing different irons. It would make sense to compare i20s or ansers but not g25. For those of you comparing them, please go get fitted by a professional before you make a decision that doesn't work for you.

I agree with the comments on the finish it does look pretty slick.  These irons definitely look more appealing than the previous G15, G20 series.

One may speculate the new S56 replacement (S55?) will have this finish.

My G15's are great but I think they might just be hitting the BST real soon. These G25's look sick! I really like the all black hybrid.

I'm a big G-series supporter and can't wait to try these.  Might just blind order them in fact.

G20 and G15 are almost identical, so it's no surprise to see the G25 coming on a short product cycle.  It's also fair to use the G15 in the above comparison since they are so similar to the 20's.

Not sure about the dark color.  One of the huge benefits of Ping's is the durability; the uber tough 17-4 stainless steel is hard and strong, so it doesn't wear very much and the iron appearance remains consistent for a bunch of years.  This dark finish will wear off showing bright silver metal underneath though.  I don't think it will be a huge contrast, unlike some black colored irons, but still.  Jury out on the color to me.  At least they didn't use the face coating business same as the i20's, which looks pretty bad after it wears.

My main hope for these is the short iron trajectory will come down.  I love my G20's, but short iron shots are akin to moon shots at times.

Overall, these look like a home run to me.  A similar step forward like the i20 line. :)  Good stuff.
