UPDATE JANUARY 22nd, 2013: Added the Nike VR Pro Combo Irons (4-PW) to the bag, see pics below. Also have NDMC grips on wedges and woods. (Will regrip irons once grips start to show wear)

------------------------------------------------

I'm relatively new to the forum and I've been browsing through the numerous WITB threads. I've enjoyed going and looking at what people are playing and I decided to make a thread dedicated to my clubs and the clubs my great grandfather used back in his day.

A bit about myself:

I'm 20 years old and live in Vancouver, Canada. I've been playing this great game since I was 5 years old. My great grandfather introduced me to the game when I was around the age of 4, I just remember watching golf with him on T.V and I was instantly hooked. He noticed my interest in the game and bought me some used clubs and cut them down. I played my first round of golf at this little 18 hole par 54/ 1600 yard pitch and putt course (which I still play to this day for sentimental reasons). He passed away shortly after I turned 6, and I've been playing golf ever since.

Anyway, as for my current set of clubs, everything is stock, no changes have been made to the clubs. Here's my current sticks:

Driver: Callaway Diablo Edge 10 degrees, stock Aldila Habanero 60g Reg shaft (Thinking of replacing with the Nike VR Pro Driver or Cobra AMP Driver)
5 Wood: Nike VR Pro Str8 Fit 19 degrees, stock Project X Shaft
Hybrid: 2009 Taylormade Rescue 22 degrees, stock 65g Aldila shaft
Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo 4-PW, True Temper S300 shafts
Wedges: Callaway X Jaws Series 56 and 60 degrees, stock shafts
Putter: Odyssey White Ice #9

(Normally for my driver I have a Gorilla headcover on, it was my great grandfather's favorite animal. It started to rip on the inside so I stopped using it until I sew it back together)

My Great Grandfather's Clubs:

Thought it would be cool to share these on here. These were what he used back when he played.

The old clubs are a thing of beauty. Hard to believe they played those things back in the day!

Except for the speed and the direction, that was a great putt

Awesome! I was thinking about putting a 'fun' headcover on my driver but I feel as though they all seem HUGE!. I saw one of stewie from family guy that I thought was funny... Nice clubs, expecially the old ones. My dad has clubs that are around 25-30 years old that look very similar to these minus the hickory shafts... everytime I tell him its time to upgrade he says " awe what really changes year to year... color of the designs and different grips??" My response was "Yes probably year to year but not 25 year to 25 years". Great post!

My gorilla headcover isn't too big, I remember seeing a Stewie one at my local GolfTown. I've seen some quite ridiculous looking ones too.

It's one of my favorite clubs in the bag as well. Good feel and I love the sound it makes.
