When I told the GF that I was posting this picture the first thing she asked me was, "did you at least use a clean pair?" And she agreed that I do seem like a banana hammock kind of guy..... don't know what kind of vibe I am sending out.

The X Hot Pro is for sure a longer club with a very good feel. They are not as soft as the X Forged, nor quite as easy to work, but they aren't that far off. They are the softest cast club I have hit so far. I could have played the X Forged, but I know that in the long run I will be better off with the more forgiving X Hot Pro.

The hybrids are really good. I didn't really get along well with the Razr X Tour hybrids, but these are just easier to hit I think. The ball also just rockets off the face, but you can for sure control that speed. The hybrids are consistent and the misses still carry a good way. Also the grey finish is great to look down on. Only gripe might be that the stock shaft is a little light weight. Shaft performs really well, mid launch and spin.

I had the Protype #7 from last year. Really love that putter and I was not a round mallet guy at all. But for some reason the more compact look and simple sight lines just caught my eye. It is also one of the best feeling putters I have ever used, beat out a solid copper Byron Morgan 007X last year! Only putter with a similar soft, solid feel would be the older SC Pro Platinum Mil Spec series. But there is a really good chance that Versa takes the top spot next year, I am really getting into the alignment system Odyssey has created.

These X Hot Pro irons are really making me want to buy a set... Love the Protype putter also. I'm currently using the 2 model, but considering switching to this.

I got the Protype #7 on a recommendation from a friend to try it. At the time I was using a Byron Morgan 008X in solid copper and it took about 2 rounds and 3 practice sessions to kick the Byron out of the bag. Protype #7 has just a little bit of toe hang and the feel is great. I would say the closest putter, in terms of feel, was a SC Pro Platinum Mil Spec 350g that I owned a while back. It is a little smaller than the 330 Mallet they used to make and I think that is what makes it fit my eye better.

We will see about this year since it has to do battle with the Versa #7 BWB!
