A definite must play!  Staying at cibola vista resort and concierge recommended it.
Course was absolutely perfect in every way.  Staff was friendly and conditions were excellent. Mountain golf at its finest. Took a ton of pix and video.  Awesome elevation changes and wildlife (saw roadrunner,  bobcat,  and quail everywhere.) I played with a member that lived on another course in Scottsdale and chose to join over at Quintero because of the quality of golf.
Will definitely play again when I return.
I should mention though that quintero is about 50 minutes from downtown and 20 minutes from any ambulance. It's in the middle of nowhere.

One of Phoenix's hidden gems. IMO - much better than the more talked about We Ko Pa and Grayhawk courses.  Great deals with the Troon Card (rates, 2-for-1, etc)

i'm headed to phoenix in may.

last time i was there i did the "timeshare talk" in exchange for a round on the palmer/faldo courses, then we played eagle mountain for $50 and troon north for $90.  troon is #3 on my favorite courses list behind pinehurst #2 and prairie dunes.  think this is as good as troon?

Better and harder than Troon. So many elevation changes. IMO I think that Club West is a hidden gem, I absolutely love the course and the rates are pretty cheap, the back 9 is a lot more scenic than the front though.

This course is a hidden gem. The quality of the course is fantastic, the hole designs, the range, everything. It is a ways out, but well worth it. The par3s are amazing out there with the elevation changes. Next time I'm out there I'll definetely play this course twice since I'm already out there. Another great hidden gem course is Vista Verde. That course is also amazing.

I'm playing there on Monday 1/14.  36 holes...
It's going to be chilly (high of about 50), but warmer than Colorado (high of 20 same day).  Ha.

Looking forward to it.

Just take plenty of balls to Quintero as I was amazed at home many times you lost a ball if missing the fairways and going into the waste areas. GREAT course, but get there in good time as it is quite a cart ride from the lot to the 1st tee!

Absolutely love the Q, I only live approx. 20 minutes away. One of the more beautiful courses in the Phoenix Metro area. Their customer service is always top notch. Last time I played, which was about a month ago the course was in awesome shape. They offer a great first responder rates with ID, helps out big time. You can get a rate as low as 35 in the summer on Golfnow if you keep your eyes out for the hot deals. T

The starter came across really well. A lot of courses have a starter who rushes you off the tee, even when there is no group scheduled behind. The man at Q was great at helping groups to get off (within reason) when they were ready which made for a relaxing start

I liked the course a lot when I played it.  The only thing maybe not so much is the potential to lose a pail of balls!   i wish some of the desert courses would grow a 10 yard collar of rough between the fairway and the start of the desert so that a ball that lands in the fairway can't easily roll under a desert bush.  But that's the only small complaint...

Great condition each time I've been there and very beautiful.  Agree that the par 3's are awesome.

Quick Quintero quiz....which hole was this? And what did you score? I hit the green & then 3 jacked.

Loved my trip here in January 2012. Troon and Boulders were better, but this course was pretty cool.
