Was wondering what kind of grips you guys like the best.
Please comment what your favorite grip model is or if you chose other what grip it is.
Also what is your favorite putter brand.

Since making a change in May 2012 I have to say the Super Stroke Slim is my favorite grip right now. I chose Odyssey as a brand since the last 2 putters I purchased are both from that manufacturer but there are so many brands of putters that I have used in the past that I still like (Byron, Machine).

My favorite is winn midsize grip because i tried gp and lamkin and winn was the winner. I never tried iomic but want to, heard nothing but good things about it. I chose scotty cameron because i just got a monterey and that thing makes putts. I also like ping anser, odyssey metal X and nike method too.

For Christmas (one of many golf items) my wife got me a Loudmouth oversize grip and head cover for my Bettinari BB8F. The head cover is sweet and the grip is was just what I was looking for in size and softeness/hardness.

Gripmaster make a Cabretta leather putter that is not a "Stitchback". It has a seam down the back but the stitching is internal. I love that grip.

My favorite putter maker is TP Mills but they cost a lot. It's hard to beat the Yes brand putters in terms of value for money.

Brand - Byron Morgan
Grip - Golf Pride, specifically Scotty Cameron. The Baby T, CNC, and Pistolini grips are all awesome.

Lamkin E.B.L smooth 3Gen.

There is no pattern of any kind, it is very smooth which for me provides great feel/feedback. I love this grip

The golf pride tour classic is very similar but 5 grams heavier. The lamkin is a couple bucks cheaper at most places.

Just got into Byron's earlier this year and have finally found a style of putter I like...the 008x copper face balanced model.

Currently waiting on a new Salty Grip cork putter grip for it.

Just got a Gripmaster stitchback, and it's my favorite grip I've had, and I've had a bunch.

Had a 2-ball and like my Cleveland Classic I replaced it with so much that I haven't tried anything else.

For the $, I don't know how you can beat Byron and all his options. Finally got a DH89 that I love

Grip - I tried a SS ultra slim this year (on a Piretti Cottonwood II), and it was awesome. Had a few of my best putting rounds ever, and a good # of rounds where I had to sink putts at the right time. I didn't want to give into trying a SS cause of the stigma surrounding it, but the Ultra Slim was just fantastic for quieting the hands. Our pro shop couldn't keep them in stock this year. I'm excited to try the 2.0, hopefully it will be perfect. The Slim is a little too fat for my taste, and while I liked the Ultra Slim a LOT, I kept finding myself wishing I had something a touch bigger. Gonna slap a 2.0 on the DH89 and putt lights out this year (that's the plan). :)

Agreed on the Rife - best feel and roll I've ever tried.  I tried to like the SC version of this putter (Select 2.6) and just couldn't so I'm back to the Rife. For those that haven't tried one, do yourself a favor and do it.

Yes I'm that guy that will cut off a $100 Ostrich skin grip and slap a $4 one on. And yes I've made dudes almost cry doing it.

Off topic, uninspiring, and unnecessary post. But when people spell it "Lampkin" it annoys the sh!+ out of me.

Back on topic...

Putter-YES! Brand Putters (C-Grooves actually work)

Grip-As much as I want to say Iomic, I gotta go with the Super Stroke. Though I do have a leather Gripmaster ready to be installed, It will be hard to knock off the SS

I've been using Iomic on my T. P. Mills for quite some time. I tried out a few gripmasters but always seem to come back to the Iomic midsize.

I hit some balls on the putting green today with a Machine Putter (with UST Frequency Filtered shaft) and MG-1 grip, truly amazing and anyone who is into putters (like I am ) try to give one of these putters a roll with a few balls in 2013  ( with the Machine MG-1 grip, apparently they do a smaller size grip called the MG-2 as well )

http://www.doglegrig.../grip_main.html

anybody using the Machine putter with these grips on golfwrx ?

The UST frequency filter shaft is designed to dampen vibrations to give more precise feedback. But is can be an issue if you have a putter with an insert that is attempting to reduce the feedback even more. Worse still when you then use a softer grip on it (Winn, Iomic, any of the soft spongy grips coming onto the market ) and you dampen it even more making it feel sloppy.

possibly why Machine use their cnc milled aluminum grip on the UST FF putter shaft, must be that Dave Billings is a really smart dude and understands how the UST FF shaft functions
