Looking to order some new golf shoes and I've narrowed it down to these two.  I'm leaning heavily towards the LC's, but just thought I would ask all you shoe ho's for confirmation.  Cost is about the same for both, so no advantage there.  Help!

Both are great shoes. Just depends if you want a TW sign on them,or just a Swoosh. If price is same,its all on your preference. Both shoes have the water proof warranties if your concerned with wear or leakage over time.. I will add that the Lunar have more color options than just a black or a white shoe.JMO though.

TW are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned (including non golf shoes), once you break them in they are amazing.

How are the TW for walking?  I've read some rave revies about the LC's being great for walking.  I don't walk that often but looking to start walking more in the new year, especially before it starts to get hot again here in Texas.

Also, I'm concerned with having to replace the spikes.  I know a couple of guys with cheaper Nike's that have told me they lose spikes all the time, is there any edge here for either shoe in that department?  I figure since these are both higher quality shoes than say the Durasports that it hopefully won't be much of an issue.

I was also wondering about the fit, as I have always been an 11.5 in every other Nike shoe I've owned, but read the LCs run small?  Should I stick to 11.5 or go with a 12?

On my fourth pair of Nike's in a row, LC's run true - at least to other Nikes. BTW, go Lunar Control. Tried on the other TW's, the free-inspired or whatever, and wasn't blown away. I was blown away by the Lunar Control in the store. Incredibly comfortable.

So are you looking to buy these on a close-out deal? The 2012 TW's were replaced by the TW13's (Free Inspired shoe) last June. The Lunar Controls are about to hit a new version launch on 1/1/13.

The new Lunar Control is amazingly comfortable with the Lunar foam midfoot. Low profile to the ground and has both spikes and integrated traction. The sizing runs true to maybe even a tiny long. Always best to try them on in the store and go with what fits and feels best - forget what is written on the box (American sizing is one of the worst systems EVER!).

The TW13's are, in my opinion, one of the very best shoes out there for comfort and functionality. But they aren't for everyone. Some don't like the looks, some don't like the flexibility ... whatever. You decide, it's your foot and you'll be wearing it.

It all depends on what you are looking for ... if you want a traditional, plated type of golf shoe - go LC ('12) or the new LCII ('13). If you want the natural motion feel, then go with the TW13. You won't go wrong with either to be honest. Both very comfy.

Yeah I am looking at close outs, not in love with the 2013 TWs or LCs, I actually prefer the look of both 2012 models better.  I'm planning on trying to find a pair of both here locally (Austin/San Antonio) but I haven't been able to find my size in either so far.  Thanks for the info guys!

I used to wear the '12 Lunar Control shoes until I got the '13 TW Free shoes.  I liked the Lunar shoes better than the '12 TW Zoom shoe.  They just seemed to fit my foot better.  I definitely liked the simple construction with the flywire in the LC shoes.  They're pretty lightweight, extremely comfortable, great for walking if that's how you play, and they've got nice colors to choose from.

Thanks for the info, I was leaning towards the LC and it looks like they are probably the right choice for me.

I love walking; have been since I was a kid 40 yrs ago.  I only wear Nike Frees off the course now solely for comfort; the LCs are a tremendous, comfortable shoe that are the best I've ever worn.  I would go the TW 13s but they are not true Nike "Free" shoes.

I had the Nike tw zoom from 2010-2012 And they were amazing until the tw 13's came  out and if you can I suggest you take the time and maybe save a lil more if it's within you're budget and get the free's. The tw 14's should be coming soon so buy th e13's at a discount... Just a thought
