In July of 1984 I had the opportunity to caddy in the US Women's Open at Salem CC. I was only 15 at the time. Tuesday during a practice round my amateur played with Hall of Famer Patty Sheehan. Patty IMO is one of the best ball strikers of all time, she was young and in her prime. I can remember that day pretty well and can always remember sitting on the 2nd tee a great par 5 and waiting for the group in front of us. Patty showed me her old Mac. I always remeber it looking like a 693 but with Byron Nelson on the crown. Now I believe it was the same one you have showed us according to this pic.
She smoked the living daylights out of a balata with this club. She also gamed Ram T.Watson blades and an old Wilson putter. Talk about an awesome bag.
Here are some additional photo's of the Nelson woods not shown in Tim's orig. posting. Slightly different stampings than yours. All orig. and unfinished. Cord grips. I'm guessing R-flex. Look wonderfull at address and still play great.

Thanks for this; Patty Sheehan's Open duel with Juli Inkster at Oakmont was an all-timer!
