Updating my WITB
Not much change to my Gamer bag. The 8, 9 and PW were changed to the cavity back 575mmc so the whole set is now the cavity back. Also got rid of the 929 and went with the 949MC.  Still using the SM4's that I picked up in early 2014 and the GM2 Exchange Never Compromise putter as well.

Biggest change is the back up bag. I was able to put it together for $330 (includes the shipping). They are the TM Smoke MB 3-9 iron with Dynamic Gold X100's. I picked up the heads new for $214 and a set of x100 pulls for $25. The 47* ATV head was bought using a Ebay gift card ($45). The Adams Super LS was unhit and I paid $45 shipped for it, and it has the Kuro Kage black 60 shaft. The RBZ stage 2 3 wood head was purchased for $30 and the shaft, a SLDR Speeder 77 xstiff was obtained for $15. I already had the Maltby wedges so total was 330. I picked up a set of the real tree head covers from Rockbottom for $4.98 so all I need now is a cheap putter.

I went to a simulator today and hit the back up bag. The Adams LS maybe a sleeper for me. Not sold on the 3 wood and when the Smokes are hit in the middle, they are sweet. Biggest surprise was the 47* ATV wedge. That may end up in the gamer bag.

(This was my 2013 bag so not much has changed )
I sold the Taylormade 2011 tour preferred MB/MC's and built a new bag which is very Wishon heavy. The 30% off offer was the straw that broke the camels back. We had a warm spell in early December here in west central Wisconsin, so on December 3rd (56*) I was able to get out and play 36 holes with the new clubs. Shot 3 under for the day, so not bad for a new set of clubs.

I played the 919 THI 9.5* with Talamonti PD70X Version 1 all year. I built that at the end of 2011. Fairways hit went up to around 70% with no loss in distance compared to the the TM SuperDeep the previous year (about 50% fairways hit). Going to pick up another one of these in black this winter for a back up.

3 wood is the Wishon 929 HS hand picked to be 14* and .5* open. I am trying the Wishon S2S Black 85 X in this just to try out the Wishon shaft. I have a Talamonti PD80X waiting in the on deck circle if this doesn't work out. Might pick up a 949 MC 14* this winter as well. I haven't hit the 3 wood enough yet to form an educated opinion. Feel is a bit "different" compared to the TM R9 that I was playing. Might be the shaft ( I did tip it 3/4" more than standard tipping per the S2S shaft program on Wishon's web page). There is also a second weight port towards the toe on the sole of these woods which really makes it easy adjust swingweight. Con- I wish the white paint on these would have been a matte white instead of the glossy finish. Driver has more of matte finish.

18* hybrid is the 2011 TM rescue with Aldila DVS 90X hybrid shaft. I picked that up at the clubhouse in October because I had some clubhouse credits I needed to use. I was playing the 2009 Rescue with the same shaft. So far I'm liking the change. Seems to be less "hooky".
All three of the woods have Tacki Mac It2 white grips.

Irons- Wishon 575MMC 3-PW with DG X100' SSX1 taper shafts and Lamkin X10 grips (can't find any crossline tours anymore). 37.75" 5iron and all D3 except the PW which was D3.5. Visually, these irons are stunning. I wasn't sure from the pictures if the milled pockets were going to offend my senses or not, but once they were in my hand, I really like them. The Wishon's have a bit more blade length than the TM TP's, so they offer a bit more forgiveness. I would like to have had the option of a blade 7 iron, but I did hit them well the few rounds I was able to play them. I bent them 1* weak to get them to a 21* 3 iron and a 47* wedge. One thing that will bother some is that you can see part of the cavity on the 3 iron at address. Not distracting to me, but is to others. That's the only con I have found for these clubs so far. I used brass shims to fit the taper shafts in the hosel. I really like the weight port at the bottom of the hosels on these. Really makes it easy to swing weight them.

I thought I would give the Wishon HM Micro groove wedges a try as well. I built the A and S wegdes. The A is at 52* and the S was bent to 57*. I put S400 37" Taper shafts into them as I don't tend to play full shots with my wedges. X10 Lamkins for grips as well. D4 on the 52* and D6 for the 57*. Haven't had enough time with them to form an opinion. They do feel nice and they were soft as butter to bend.

Putter is still the 33" Never Compromise GM2 Exchange #5. I played with the weights more this summer. I really like that putter and can't find anything to replace it.

Bag is the 2010 Taylormade TMX Stand bag. Heavy, but it holds a ton and is normally on the back of a cart anyway.

Thanks tinman. I really like the Wishon clubs. A couple of years ago I had a set of the 555m/c combo's. I didn't put taper shafts in them and they just didn't "feel" right to me because of it and the blade lengths were a bit longer than the 575mmc's. Time will tell, as I won't be playing them anytime soon. I hate Wisconsin winter's.

Ive got a 949 4 wood (haven't picked a shaft yet) and a 775 HS hybrid w/ a wishon black hybrid shaft waiting to be put together for next season.  His stuff is quality.  I'm waiting to see what his new driver offering is and deciding which of his irons I want to put in play.

Me too. I picked up pair of 949's as part of that deal the OP mentioned. Trying to get friends and family interested so I can build some clubs for them. Holding off to see what the new driver offering is, but I imagine a full bag of Wishon clubs is in my future.

Yeah, I got the same deal as well.  I'm moving in a few weeks then will sink some cash into setting up my club building area, then will look at getting back into doing some club work, probably starting with some 560 irons, maybe the 575 if my swing is feeling good on the day I decide to order.

Sweet bag!  That 929HS is for real as is the 919THI.  The 949MC IMO, is better off the tee.  It can be absolutely pounded.  But if you can master the 949 off the deck, you're going in be in for a treat.  I pound the 775HS hybrids.  Just beat them!  Those are great options as well!

Nice setup!

I thought about the 949, but I was hitting the fairway so well with the driver that I rarely pulled the 3 wood out off of the tee box, so I figured I would maximize the club for fairways. It won't kill me to have two though. That way I can put them in the bag depending on the course. I didn't get the hybrids because I don't like .335 hosel hybrids. Hit them two high.

The 775s can be bored out to fit a .370 shaft.  I opted for the the .335 because I wanted the high flight, but the UST shafts I chose gave me that option to get that flight.  They also make the VTS to control the torque and the flight to raise and lower it if needed by adjusting the torque and where it bends.  Amazing shafts.

I'd definately opt for a second fairway wood, but, I see your point about forget it because of the fairways you're hitting.

Great bag!! My 575s are staying the bag again this year along with the 919th. I may tinker a little over the winter, maybe add the 3I back in the bag for windy days and also maybe a 949 4W.  BTW, I love the S2S Stepless shafts.  Very smooth and stable and very low spin.

OMG i was just PMing with my buddy Tbowles last night we were talking about a dream bag. This is pretty much it! Holy crap the 575's look even better in these "in hand" pics than they do on the stock shots off the website!  Man everything wishon on that bag looks fantastic. I don't think people understand what goes into each one of those iron heads. For those that don't, the whole cavity is Milled out on a cnc machine. It's an industry first, no one else does this. This gives complete control over a progressive Center of gravity. I don't own a single Wishon club at the moment, but I am a fan of the company and they deserve credit for that kind of innovation.

Pretty cool how the Wishon Headcover matches that TM bag perfectly!

Great bag man, and yes, nice tree too!

Thanks KYMAR. Wishon definately out did himself with these irons and you can tell that there is some craftsmanship involved in their production. They really fit my eye nicely, and since I'm a bit of a digger I like the higher bounce of these clubs, and I added 1* when I bent them 1* weak, so I'm hoping for great turf interaction. My sampling was one day in December and about 36 holes, but they seemed to work well for me. Not a lot more  forgiveness over the TP MB/MC I was playing, but there is just a tad bit of noticeable blade length, and that is what I was looking for. Now I just have to wait for March (hopefully snows gone by then) to use them. Have you tried demoing any of the Wishon clubs? It's worth the time if you can find a place to do it. The 919 sold me on their equipment. I'm slowly convincing some people around me to give their equipment a try.

I kept the TM bag because it matched the Wishon headcovers so well. Funny, I don't even try to color coordinate my cloths. Wife's always telling me I don't match.

I just saw the 2013 Wishon cataloge. They will be offering the 575 MMC in muscle back irons from 5-AW and the cavities will now be offered in 3-AW. Looks like I will be buying a couple more iron's, just not sure if I will be getting the 5, 6 and 7 MB's or just the 6 and 7.

Yeah i thought they had a new driver coming out but didn't see it in the 2013 stuff.

Hey stg113 somewhat non related question for you. My son is looking for sort of a hybrid bag that works equally well for carrying and riding in a cart and I was wondering how that TMX performs both ways. I saw that it's almost 7 lbs which seems a little high. How does it ride in a cart? (if you ever use one) and is the weight noticeable compared to other lightweight carry bags you may have experience with.

It rides in a cart well, like a cart bag really. It is heavy, especially with everything I have in it. If I were primarily a walker, this is not the bag I would own. I only walk about 15-20% of the time (which helps explain the spare tire I wear around my waiste.) I like the strap system though, and you can fit a lot of gear in the large pouch.

The 919 THI is actually changing some in 2013. They are putting the bendable hosel on it, so it can be adjusted. Not a lot of changes this year, but I'm glad Wishon is offering more options for the 575 MMC's.

I saw that.  The problem I'm having is I am hitting the irons so well that I don't even want to mess with them. I thought about the blades through the 5 but then I played  yesterday and hit some great shots with the 5, 6 and 7 I don't want to jinx them LOL.

Thanks. I actually had a set of 555m/c for awhile that I probably didn't give quite enough of a chance. The reason I like the 575's is the blades are just a bit shorter than the 555's, but longer than the TM 2011 TP MB/MC's.

I responded to your PM and I will try to get some photo's of the 929 with a ball at address today or tomorrow.

I told golf_junkie I would post some photo's of the 929HS to show how shallow they really are. So here's a couple of photo's.
