Put this shaft in a 905R and it has given me at least 15yards more carry.  Perfect for anyone with a smooth tempo and who needs help getting the ball in the air!

Look around UST's website specs - the V2 HL is higher launching compared to the original V2:
http://www.ustgolfsh...duct.aspx?id=78

I'm interested in the V2 HL 55 S...I might reshaft my Hibore XL 9.5 with it...the reason being, I tried out the 2007  46" 10.5* Taylormade Burner with the Fujikura RE*AX Superfast 50 S 50gm shaft, which has similar specs to the V2 HL 55. I liked the way the TM Burner was hitting...the shaft felt great, consistent, good distance and control, maybe a tad too high trajectory, I'd like to go back and hit it some more, but it got my attention. If I do shaft the XL with a V2 HL 55, I'll follow up here when I have some results.

I had the standard v2 in a driver and was killing it, but found the trajectory to be a bit flatter than i would have liked. I decided to take a shot at the V2 HL and found the same tight feeling of the original v2 but with a noticeably higher launch.

The v2 HL turned an "experiment" driver into my gamer after the launch improved that much....

Great shaft for the $$ no less...

What's the weight of your V2 HL?

I had the same experience. If you need a little higher ballflight the V2 HL is the shaft to go to.
I use the 65 gram version in my fairway woods and I have it in a driver as well.

All I can about this shaft is ... "wow".

I reshafted my HiBore XL with the 52 gram version of the V2 HL and boy, what a difference it made.  Thanks to two disks in my back which became herniated 15 years ago, I'm now a short hitter in the 205-220 yard range.  With the stock Fujikura gold shaft, the two times I used the HiBore I was in the lower end of this range.  Thursday, I picked up the reshafted HiBore and this afternoon I used it.

It took a few holes to get used to feel of the new shaft, and then something wonderful began to happen.  On the 340 yard 4th hole, I really cranked one.  When I got to the ball, I took out my rangefinder and it said I had 78 yards to the pin.  Same thing on the 9th hole, a 357 yarder.  My rangefinder said 99 yards to the pin.  It was the same story once again on No. 15, a 390 yarder, I had 137 yards to the pin.

Comments on performance:
-Trajectory was between medium and high
-The landing angle must not have been steep as roll was pretty good
-I slightly pushed three shots into the adjacent fairway, but the remaining 11 drives were in my fairway
-Shot shape was consistent with my shot shape with myother clubs - a slight draw.
-Even though this is a light shaft at 52 grams, it felt solid and in control thoughout my swing.
-Would highly recommend to anyone with a slower swing speed like mine.  I do not know how this shaft would perform for a big hitter.

7/7/08 update: Last weekend on a 470 yard par 5, I spanked one down the middle and when I got to my ball, I sited the distance to the flag with my rangefinder.  I could not believe it, but my second shot was 193 yards to a pin which was near the center of the green.  If my math is correct, it was a 277 yard drive!  I'll say it once again ... "wow".

I am a very long hitter, normally play a speeder 757 x-stiff 79g

I tried the prolaunch v2 High launch and wow gained 25 yards, it starts off initially high then flattens to a medium pro-like flight and just sits in the air the drops and runs

My carry has gone up from 285 to 307 yards, clubhead increased by 1mph, and spin 2900rpm

My clubhead speed (measured recently close to 120mph @75% whack), and yes I am a hitter of the golf ball.

The shaft is high launch, but I agree with most club pros it's a very stable shaft and quite stiff.

The 65g and 75g are night and day in terms of stiffness.

I tried this shaft in a g10.  I have been playing a 76g V2 and suprisingly did not hit it any higher or lower then the regular V2.  I did not find it to be a high launch shaft at all.

I just put the V2 HL 65 S in my FT-5 Tour 10.5 degree neutral. The stock E360 isn't for me (launches too low, feels too harsh) so I test drove the same head with the Ozik X Con 5 and liked the ball flight and the feel but wasn't too keen on the price upgrade ($450.00). After some research I settled on the V2 HL 65 S, had a local clubfitter change it out and took it to the range. What a difference! Not nearly as harsh as the E360 and, for me at least, maybe a little longer and more forgiving than the Ozik. The feel is unbelievable, and at $80.00 installed it's a bargin. I would recomend the V2 HL to anyone looking for a higher launching shaft. I'm anxious to get it on the launch monitor and compare numbers with the E360. Should be a world of difference.

At one time I had this (76g S flex) in a 14* g10 3 wood. My swing speed is 108-110 and it performed great. Everything you could ask for in a HIGH LAUNCH shaft especially for the price. Now I have it in a 15* G10 hybrid (86g S flex) Again, performs excellent. Been a fan of UST since the original proforce gold.

I love my current driver setup but need a shaft to add to a custom-painted Nike SQ head my gf's dad had made for me.  My current driver is 12* with a the stock Ping TFC 939D shaft stuff flex.  The new driver head is only 10.5*.  Should I go with the Stiff or X-Stiff flex on this new club.  According to UST, my swingspeed puts me in the X-Stiff category, but I want to get a similar ball-flight to my current club which only has a Stiff shaft and 1.5* more loft.  Thanks for any input!

What is your Swing Speed? I would take UST's word for it. More stiffness equals maybe less distance but more accurate. I have heard they play stiffer than most but I dont know really because once I found UST, I stuck with it.  If your in between stiff and X flex you could tip an S flex or even add some weight(lead tape) to an X.

I am not really worried about distance.  I have plenty for my game.  I am looking for a good trajectory and control.  I am in the overlap between the 2.  I am around 108 on a normal swing.

Currently have the 77g X in a Sonartec SS-07 13* and it is great. Awesome trajectory, distance, and dispersion for a reasonably priced shaft (under $70).
