Woke up super early (my stupid cat decided to try to eat my eye lid ......   ) Checked the forums and saw a post asking for a particular shaft so i went to golfworks.com to see if they had it and i see that Arthur Xtreme engineering and Works have the Xcaliber's on sale.

The 2012 fairway and hybrid shafts non tour are 20.00
Xcaliber 5, 6 and 6 plus are 30,00
.370 Iron shafts are 17 (.355 sets are 139.00)
Xcalibur Tour fairway 27.00
Xcaliber tour driver 35.00
the SL fairways are 27.00
tour SL hybrids 33.00
SL wood 35.00

These have gotten a good rep for being quality shafts at great prices. Thought maybe for those of you who have considered these in the past but hesitated, now would be a great time to try them.

Wow And I was just looking for the Xcaliber tour driver 7+. But I bet the shipping cost to Canada will cost more then the shaft itself.

Just picked up Tour versions of the driver, fairway and hybrid shaft the other day. Can't wait to see if they live up to the positive reviews they get here!

Thanks for the heads up.  Debating between the 6 and 6+ in R-flex.  I have a mid-upper 90's SS with a higher ball flight and smooth transition.  Thoughts?

I emailed the owner of the company directly and he helped me pick what would fit me best. For what it's worth I have 108 average SS and he recommended the Tour 6 stiff flex. Apparently they play a little stiffer than most due to the tip section being so stiff.

btw... to keep you cat from eating your eyelids, stop rubbing tuna fish on them before going to sleep. Works for me.

No chance! If you get the right Hybrid shaft for your swing you will be very happy they are great shafts!

LOL I don't know what his issue was! Usually he just head butts me, or bites my arm to wake me up. No idea why his teeth were near my eyeball but I wasn't happy bout it at all. But he's still pretty awesome, so no .

no, i got the same price of $20 each for the FW and two hybrids. Theres a free shipping code out there as well so my total was $62. Gonna try them out in my backup bags and see if the hype lives up

Guys, just a word of advice from a big Xcaliber fan. Let's make sure we respect the site's guidelines towards sponsors and not direct members to contact the owner directly or allow this thread to become an advertisement of sorts. I've had a couple of Axe threads deleted because of this.

I just got the 6+ for my K15.  Robin suggested the + to keep the ball a tad lower with Ping's notoriously understated lofts.  Golfworks whad the .335 Ping ferrules on backorder, so I purchased the universal plastic shim/ferrule instead.  I've always used a brass shim with the .335 shafts, but this ferrule may eliminate the need for that.  The plastic shim looks like it extends down 3/4-1" down from the ferrule.  don't be afraid to shim.  I'm a novice tinkerer and have done it about 1/2 dozen times with no issues.

Was going to look into a Saga, but this deal was too good to pass up.  Thanks again, Kymar

These shafts play quite a bit stiffer than others.  I was using FT-9 IMIX with Fubuki 63S (not made for) which from what I hear is tipped 0.5".  I can really feel it load.
I bought a regular AXE and didn't tip it at all for my 9015D.  I can't feel it load but it the ball goes really straight tho.
Thinking about getting a hybrid to put it in my Adams Idea Pro that has been sitting in my garage due to ProLaunch shaft in it.

So there's no standard tipping in these driver shafts?  I've only installed a few brand new shafts, both of which were GD and they needed to be tipped to play true to flex.

I can only comment on the tours, the other Axe's might offer high launch, not really sure
