Greetings All. Recent lurker in the beginners forums, first post here. Wife, daughter, and I are learning to play after many years of talking about it, and now have a few lessons under our belts. Stumbled onto this thread and it also happens that we like to get our Macklemore on.

Wife was at the thrift store over the weekend and a nice gentleman was looking at clubs, mentioned that he wished his granddaughter was left handed. He pointed out this starter set in excellent condition that fits my lefty daughter well. <$20 and yesterday I dropped another $5 I think for the too-small bag.

Thrift store employee saw my wife excitedly looking through the clubs and then brought out a couple bags that were filled. There was a set of beater Spaldings, irons and woods. Can't remember how much they were, but it wasn't much. A bunch of other mixed clubs, including 90's Callaway drivers and woods, some Ping putters, and a few oddballls (will post photos of this stuff later). Two Sun Mountain bags to carry away the haul. $6/each, IIRC.

Also in that batch was a set of RedBird LPS, 4-P and a 51deg wedge. These are/were spendy custom fit clubs that seem to be pretty average size and fit me reasonably. $2/per I think.

Another trip over the weekend turned up these Women's ProStaff irons and fairways. Bummer was that they were a little short for my wife, so she enjoyed hitting the Spaldings more. ProStaff's were ~$16.

I ran by a thrift shop near my office after work yesterday and found these Adams Tight Lies UC10, 4-9 missing the 7 ($16), which I plan on giving a try this week along with the RedBirds.

There were some vintage irons that I didn't pick up, but could always go back if anyone is interested.

Titleist 804OS Forged, 3-P in great shape for $20 Gouge on the sole of the PW, but nothing that affects play. Got a Ping Anser thrown in with the irons, decided to buff and polish the face, but keep the satin and scuffs on the rest.

I got a Kraz E and a Plop last season from Goodwill. I got pictures on my other comp. Still have the Plop - wish there was a easy way to drill holes behind the shaft to make it a cheaper Seemore version I could use more regularly.

I'm fairly certain the one in the left-center of the bill is a (hastily scrawled) Davis Love III.  The 'D' is prominent at the start, finished with the trademark Z that has come to represent the 'III' numerals.

Found a mint Honma Big LB driver with the titanium weaved graphite shaft today for $6. A quick search shows it sold new for $799 in 1993.  Depreciation is a heck of a thing.

Also found a Cleveland CG11 54* and a stainless Anser 4 with half the original grip missing for 3 bucks apiece.

Eh, the bag (so far) is a good bit cleaner, but I'll be damned if cigarette smoke saturated anything isn't among the most vile, violated fabric you're going to come in contact with. A smoker's house, a smoker's car...a smoker's golf bag. Ish.

I don't know if I'm going to get the smell out totally - or maybe it'll take a couple tries - but at least the bag is a good bit cleaner.
Check with a car detailing center. They have cleaners specific for removing cigarette smoke from automobile upholstery it's my guess that it would work on a golf bag. I would also suggest Febreze  that stuff works wonders.

I've seen this club before. I seem to recall it's a bit "heavy" feeling. Maybe the current touring pros should have to play with this in the 4 major tournaments. Wouldn't that be a hoot to hear them voice their disdain and angst about the new 1 club rule???😄
