This is good to hear because I did the same thing.  My order will be in in about one week. Now the waiting game. I do have a question that I am a little confused on. The shafts I am getting are project x 5.5. Are the shafts flighted in the Ansers?

I think they are straight PX - the flighted PX is shown as an option in their custom catalog, as is PXi.

I ordered the 5.5's also. How would they compare to s300 or x100?

Edwin Watts had a 7 iron black dot with PX 6.0 (not flighted).  Softest feeling iron I have ever hit.  168 yards on the launch monitor.  I can't wait to purchase these irons.

Seriously, these clubs were just a pipe dream at one stage. I haven't been playing as often as I would like, but they are the most forgiving iron I've ever played (cavity or blade). And up until this year I only used blades. They are definitely worth the investment as I am 2 for 2 in comp wins since having them in the bag. I will prolly quit while I'm ahead. Hell NO!

Working the ball is easier than expected and the long irons do get up in the air as marketed by PING

Not planning on buying a another set until possibly the next version of these irons are out.
If they are not as good, I'll double up on sets.

The OP smells again as a "paid advertiser".

I think it´s a new trend of GolfWRX and Mr. Zu????is a risk for the objektivity of this forum.

Am I trying to like these too much? When these came out not having played anything PING before I laid my eyes on them, sold my Miuras and every extra club I was not really using just to be able to afford these.  At the fitting I actually felt the i20 more "buttery" than the Ansers; I thought it was a fluke or something related to hitting off the matt, so I went ahead and shed $200 for a single 6 iron.

Just got the single iron and while staring at it the entire night I was thinking I could not wait until tomorrow to hit the range so I jumped over the fence (i live in front of my golf course) and began to hit some balls at 10:30 PM to the green in front of my house and these still did not feel right (Coming from Srixon and Miura irons)

I've never played cast irons before, playing anything cast used to be a sacrilege in my language but the i20's felt so much better than the Ansers.  I am playing 18 with my 6 iron and try to proof myself that the ansers feel nice once again.

You can hit the Ansers all you want & I doubt they'll feel as soft as I20's.  I play i20's, 2010 Ansers & 2012 Ansers ... the I20's have a softer feel.

Ive hit the i20 side by side with ansers and s56 a few times. i20 feels alot more muted than the s56 and slightly more muted than the anser, I think it has alot to do with the forgiveness of the i20

Used my Anser 6 iron in every shot I could and you are right they do feel not hard but not soft, I think I might end up saving $550 bucks and get the cast I 20's.  Only issue with the I20's is the offset, they local golf shot does not have a set in stock to take a look at them

I am having a brain fart here but is the 2012 Anser the same as the 2013?? If not, what is the differences?

The old anser irons are 2010 Ansers the new ones are 2012 Ansers since they came out in August of 2012. So 2013 Anser is wrong

i20s are excellent irons and I played them for a season. My only cons were the soles where a hair too wide but the new ansers have a beveled trailing edge making the sole slightly smaller than i20.

The other bad thing is the face wear, its pretty bad on these. Its like you can just scratch the finish off the face with your fingernail. Again with the anser you wont get that problem.

Anser irons are the least "durable" golf iron I have ever played ... particularly the faces.  In my opinion, the I20's are much more durable.  My I20's look like new after 25-30 rounds & my 2010 Ansers look 5 years old, after 30 or so rounds.

Im talking about the new anser, Im not sure if theres a difference though. From my experience with the new anser, they are durable. Ive hit the demo numerous times and taken it for a few days, no scratches on face.

Have you seen this thread on the i20 wear? They changed the finish to a slightly lighter color so the wear wouldnt show as much, just a bandaid though for non durable finish.

Ok I have come full circle with ping, I started out with i10's six years ago, then worked my way through most of the JDM stuff.  Have to say I played some really good golf with my Miura's, but now I am back with the Anser.  I am recovering from some shoulder issues so I wanted a iron that was easy to hit.

Now that I have spent some time with these irons they are really strait.  I have been working with the irons at Golf Tech, so I get to see all the data, and I really like these irons.  I have Nippon Modus 3's Stiff hard stepped once, and they feel super smooth.  One thing I have really noticed with the shafts is that I can really feel the club head with these shafts.  It almost feels like the heads are heavy but they are not, The shafts have a great feel to them, and a great ball flight.

The golf tech instructor noticed this, but it seems the irons spark on almost every shot. lol  should name them sparky

No kidding, walked a few holes here in Indy today.  These are really nice irons.  Now they don't feel anything like a forged club, so for me I really wish they did not say forged on the club.  Not that they feel bad, but they just do not feel like a forged club.

i agree but they are also decent sized cavity back irons, I mean how soft were the diablo forged which is also a decent sized cavity back iron?

There is no good reason for me to spend the money on a new or even a used set of ansers when to me, the I20's are a better set of clubs all around.

There you have it ladies & gentlemen, the definitive response.
