PING G25 Driver and Fairway Woods Spotted!

We spotted Hunter Mahan and Bubba Watson using Ping's new G25 driver and fairway woods on the range at the World Challenge hosted by Tiger Woods at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Mahan was hitting a G25 Driver (9.5 degrees) as well as a 15-degree G25 fairway wood.

Watson was playing a G25 Driver with his signature pink crown and graphics (8.5 degrees) and a 16.5-degree G25 fairway wood.

The driver has the same adjustability as Ping's Anser Driver (o.5 degrees higher or lower than stamped loft) and is scheduled to be available at retail in mid-February.

the driver sole looks a little different from what the rep showed me in october. it looks alot more rounded and swollen. when i first saw it, it reminded me a anser meets i20

That G25 driver looks great!  The smooth sole makes me want to use that off the deck a lot lol.  Man, 2013 is gonna be a crazy year for drivers.  Lots of good stuff coming out.

Any word on available lofts in the driver and FW's?

Looks sort of like the old Burner Superfast with a weight port.
The sole looks like gills on a shark or fish.  

Can't wait to check them out in person.

Nice looking club. The scalloped sole is a little unusual for ping but they definitely look very nice with the gloss on the bottom and the flat on top. Like a driver mullet.

Clubs were spotted and I asked Hunter's caddy (Woody) if I could shoot them handheld. No spec ail cleaning or lighting. The Ping Tour Rep did bring me Bubba's cuz he's not real wild about anyone touching his clubs


So not sure why you want to call them OEM approved "spy pics"

I have a good relationship with the players and caddies so they let me shoot. I don't consider them "spy pics" cuz I don't have to sneak around to get them

But they are the first views with hand held photos anywhere!
