I have heard great things about the Aerotech steel fiber shafts in IRONS but has anyone tried one of their wood/driver shafts?

I used them in fairway woods for a while then switched to Claymores last year...I still use Steel-Fiber in my irons and hybrids....great shafts.

There are a few topics on the woods shafts in the clubmakining forum but you will likely have to search for them. The feedback on them was very positive in the postings I read.

I have used the wood steelfiber 65 in drivers of golfers who tend to baloon their drives and create high spin numbers.  Really consistent shafts.  The steel fibers tend to stabilize the tip, for guys with really forceful transitions.  Have used both powercoil 50's and steelfiber 65's with great success.  The iron/ wedge shafts speak for themselves.  Not to mention the great success they had on tour this season.

A local clubmaker has ordered one for my 4w. I'll report back in a couple of weeks after I pick it up and play a couple of rounds.

It's coming, I appologize I started a new job which requires a ton of travel and it's halted a few golf related projects but I owe everyone the promised update...BB

I have Steelfiber in one of my hybrids it's fantastic and improved the speed of the club w/o any reduction in stiffness and control.    I've contemplated putting in one of their woodshafts in a shorter configuration on an older smaller driver head, but a) not sure of how it would result and b) just don't know if i'd get hte chance to put it into rotation.

+1000000...The Steelfiber hls hybrid shafts have turned my driving irons into cannons. I was seriously worried that the 75g weight would cause height and dispersion issues, but they produce nothing but low launching bombs.

100% agree with you!  I have the 95 gram in my 18 degree hybrid.  It is absolutely the best hybrid shaft I have ever used.  Took care of the "lefts" for good!  I actually can hit a fade with my hybrid now!  I have never, ever been able to do that with any other hybrid shaft that I have personally tried.

not the steel fiber but i had the claymores and they are excellent for the driver....

ultralite(50 gms) but very stable and you don't have to baby them....
