Sunday I was on a Par 4 350 yards downwind and rolled one up to 10 feet.  The exact second I hit it I was like "oh no, FORE!!!!"  It was the greatest drive I ever hit.  So it lands 20 yeards short and slowly rolls up on the green. The two guys look up and I'm waving my hand yelling fore.  We drive up and I say "Sorry about that guys"  Younger guy says "no problem" Older guy says "Really?"  and shakes his head in disapproval.

Still pretty convinved the guy was mad but there was no way I thought I would come close.

Typical. I bet it woulda hurt him bad had it rolled up and hit him in the foot.

I've had players hit up on me like that before, personally its no big deal, but some guy might be tight a** and bother them.

I don't think anyone expects to drive a 350 par 4.  If its a down hill 300 yd par 4 is a bit different.

Agreed.  i would gladly give you a high 5 or even a beer for a 350yd drive.  Only if the green is 300 or less does the thought..."hey I have a chance at this one" even creep into my mind.  Even then the stars have to align to give me gravitational pull from Jupiter for it to happen.

406 yards...wind wasn't strong either. I think I landed on a yardage marker or something. In those days, I generally ended up in the 350 yard range. Nowadays,(5 years later) I'm in the 275 yard range. The new equipment doesn't seem to give me crap for yardage!

Officially at a long drive 384 but yesterday I hit a 345 yard par 4 with a 13 degree fading 3 wood I think that may have been my best

Funny this topic comes up today as I hit the longest drive of my life today. Downwind, but no elevation change. Cart path twice, 412 yards. 8 iron into a 588 yard par 5 :) the other one I hit in a college tournament, down wind and green is 30 yards below the tee box with huge down slope in the driver landing area. 402 yards exactly and 9 iron into a par 5. Sad thing is, no eagle on either :(

Do you mean that from your ball you took a rangefinder shot off something on or near enough to the teebox to estimate you were 357 from the tee markers, or you shot the flag and subtracted from the yardage on the card?

I've hit 2 400 yard drives.  Both were 550 plus yard par 5's.  One was on a course with concrete hard fairways and the wind was at least 30 mph.  The ball would carry forever and roll and roll.  The other was a severely downhill and downwind.  It was funny because a short knocker partner of mine hit it 300 yards and he was so proud.  He asked where I was and my ball was 100 yards ahead.  :D

I always shoot the flag from the teebox and then subract the yardage I have left with the bushnell...Thats the most accurate way for me to do it!

You either have a very steady hand or reflectors on the pins. I'm surprised only 1 local course has the reflectors. Sure makes the process easier and faster. Anyway, I always pick out an object near the tee box to shoot from my ball after walking to the ball. I'm rarely in a straight line from the pin. Probably makes very little difference either way. I mean either method can be more accurate than just lasering the flag from the ball then subtracting from the yardage on the scorecard. Depending on the day that can be way off.

Not sure about my longest ever, but clocked one on the GPS on Tuesday at 407 with about 10-15 mph wind behind. I was more excited about the one I hit 313 back into this same wind coming into 18. Disclaimer...these aren't averages :)

Playing TPC Canyons in Las Vegas in September, 2001. We happen to be stuck in Vegas during 9/11 cuz the airlines were shut down, but thats snother story. Playing 18th from the tips with a decent tailwind, I had 80 yds left to the green. Its 448 on the card so roughly 370.

But thats not the end....A month later the PGA Tour is playing TPC Canyons as one of the 3 courses that was used for the tournament in Vegas. Im watching on TV as John Daly rips one on the 18th hole. He was left with 100 yds to the green. So in my twisted head, I out-drove John Daly. Im aware that there are many factors that make it not exactly accurate, but in my mind, I got one past Big John.
