I have probably hit a few farther than that in the summer when the temps are around 100 degrees and the ball is flying farther, but I don't know the exact yardage.

It's a good thing I got this thread early. I know I wont' even be in the top 50 by the time it's all said and done

Also hit a couple over 400 at Beaver Creek Golf Course near Vail CO.....high altitude + downhill + downwind = ball go very far. That was crazy. Very hard for a high ball hitter to control your iron shot distances on that course.

Drought year - course was baked dry. I got about a hundred yards of roll.
Second half of the hole is slightly downhill.
I was experimenting with a 49 inch driver.
Steady wind behind.
Swung as hard as I could and somehow managed to hit it flush with a square face.

Longest drive I ever will hit in my life time. I hit the ball better this year, but not 1.) at altitude (Banff Springs) to 2.) a perfect fairway from 3.) an elevated tee box. Not sure how many yards those 3 elements added, but that shot alone was a rush worth the heinous greens fees,
It was on the 15th hole which I guess used to be the opening hole at one time.
The tee box is on the roof of an old building left of the left edge of this picture. I was so excited to be there I only took pictures on the front nine. On the back nine I focused on golf. This picture is from random google search.
Edit: just reread the title. My drive above was not downwind, but there were more than enough favourable conditions to make up for it.

Better question - what's the shortest GOOD drive you've had into the wind.
I played awhile back at the Pete Dye River Course in Virginia. I did not get a wind speed but the gusts must of been in the mid 30s. On one tee my wife nearly fell over from the wind when she took her back swing - it was definitely gusting.
I'm not a long hitter but I can usually average around 250 any given day. I didn't see any drives past 180/190 that day that day as every damn hole seemed to be playing into the wind. I eventually switched to hitting a long iron off the tee to keep the ball down out of the wind. Before that I hit a good shot on a par 5 only to watch the ball fall dead out of the sky 75 yards later. It was a rough round. On the plus side we had the course all to ourselves!
