That said, I'm not sure you can't do the exact same thing with a small LED light & a white board to FLO the shaft.  Also, I don't think the process identifies for the consumer, the hard plane & soft plane ... for those who care.

Is the hard spot considered where the carbon fiber sheets have lapped over the most during production?
