Most iconic classy mallet putters?

I'm looking to get a really classy mallet putter, something iconic and timeless and not like the tatty junk you see getting released left right and centre today (I'm looking at you Nike Concept...).

Looking for something with no insert, symmetrical shape and preferably not too large.

My shortlist so far is Rife Barbados and Mr Beasley, SC Kombi, Fastback and Squareback, the original Fat Lady Swings and the Bettinardi BB32.

Anything else I should consider?

It has an insert of sorts, but I always liked the Cameron Red X.  Rolls the ball great!

If we're talking full mallets, I like the SC GoLo and Rife Aussie Mallet myself, but the SC California Del Mar is quite sexy.

couldn't agree more, great putter all around, but unfortunately "Zebra" made a mockery of this look...
I would go with the new Golo, or the Ping Nome

I'm definitely interested in the black prototype 2-ball but I don't trust black finishes a great deal.

The red X and the Rossie's are not my ideal shape, a bit too bulbous

Odyssey XG #7. play it myself, love the look at address and it is so easy to lign up, really is, though has an insert of course.
As for non inserts i would suggest the SC Golo or SC Fastback. Those are great feeling mallets.

The BB32 is a great putter.  A Scotty Cameron JAT is also pretty classic, and it meets your specs.

A lot of great putters mentioned in this thread. I have a real soft spot in my heart for the Fat Lady Swings. One of the first great milled face mallets.

You may also want to look for the KOMBI Stainless. A little smaller headed version of the KOMBI that I enjoy.

I love my Rife Barbados. It's been in the bag since they first came out.

But this is the classiest Mallet I've ever seen. Kronos Metronome. It's like a Rossie 2 but 100% CNC milled. Absolutely stunning and feels amazing.

That BB32 looks very classy from address.

The Yes Sandy (old style) is also a simple looking milled face putter - I'm bias though as that's what I use and I love it.

The Bettinardi BB32 is a fantastic looking putter. If you're looking at more of a full mallet, the Scotty Cameron Kombi-S is great also.

I'll cast the first vote for a Byron Morgan Channel Island. Is has all the forgivness of the fugly moi putters, but with a classic look and feel. Very, very underrated putter, IMHO.

The original fat lady swings is a great putter! You can find them for under $30 too.
