couldn't agree more, great putter all around, but unfortunately "Zebra" made a mockery of this look...
I would go with the new Golo, or the Ping Nome

The red X and the Rossie's are not my ideal shape, a bit too bulbous

As for non inserts i would suggest the SC Golo or SC Fastback. Those are great feeling mallets.

Looking for something with no insert, symmetrical shape and preferably not too large.
My shortlist so far is Rife Barbados and Mr Beasley, SC Kombi, Fastback and Squareback, the original Fat Lady Swings and the Bettinardi BB32.
Anything else I should consider?
A lot of great putters mentioned in this thread. I have a real soft spot in my heart for the Fat Lady Swings. One of the first great milled face mallets.
You may also want to look for the KOMBI Stainless. A little smaller headed version of the KOMBI that I enjoy.

The Yes Sandy (old style) is also a simple looking milled face putter - I'm bias though as that's what I use and I love it.
