[Tyway16]

This is the absolute best 3 wood I have ever hit. Equipped with Graphite Design DI-7 X. Rockets I tell ya.
I will have this beast forever. Addresses just like the old Titleist PTs. I had a real hard time finding a 3 wood that does not balloon and that does not go left for me, and this is it. I have 13 Cobra clubs in the bag, and couldnt be happier.

I was wondering why they didn't just remake the S9-1 Pro for their Tour guys...

Why remake an old model with no adjustabilitly? This has the amp technology, adjustable, and improved cosmetics (in my opinion) s9 was to shallow for my liking.

S9-1 pro was a different animal then the s9

Just an fyi ....

That is actually a very early model of AMP that was tested last year. Poulter actually tweeted a pic of it early on. He passed on it in lieu of a bone stock / off the shelf AMP 3 wood.

Fowler tried it. He passed on it for the standard 3 wood - although he had one amongst others when I ravaged his bag at The Zurich. And as everyone knows - he passed on both for the Ping I20 3 wood - which he still uses.

I don't think any staffer hits that model currently. A fellow member / friend of mine "300tour" has had that exact model for quite a while - I THINK he got it maybe 8-9 months ago.

Good catch though ... There aren't many. Most "tour" guys it seems like the launch conditions of the stocker.

After looking at the pics again, you're right on. Right down to the top with the graphics on it as well. I had one of those PT fairway woods a while back and loved it. The simple Titleist script on the crown was all that was needed.

I like the score lines on this MUCH better than the stock wood

I like that gray finish on the AMP FW's and hybrids. Gets to be a bit much on a driver but it's better looking than many other colored clubs these days.

Right on.  I remember when these first came out people were saying how awful and gaudy these looked.  A year later these are tame compared to what is coming for 2013.

I cant imagine anything beating the Tour Edge Exotics 3-wood or their other fairway metals for that matter. Longer and easier to hit and control than anything on the market.

I got a chance to see one of these for the first time yesterday.  WOW!

Nice compact head shape, perfect (deep) face depth. Very very different than the retail offering.  I might have a chance to snag one but not sure I'm motivated since it's the off season.  Should I go for it?
