I agree the SM5's are freaky good.

I have 60-08, 54-10, 50-12.  They were my best club yesterday by far.  Flagged a couple peaches.  And the feel..

Junki...what happened to the toe sweep?

I like the K a little better

Was the toe sweep easier to flop shots or is the k better for flop shots? Thanks

I played them both square to hit flops and I think they were both really easy. The K is slightly easier on full shots. Both great lob wedges that won't dig

GJ how's your i25 FW going after a few rounds? Still happy with it?  Stiff or tour stiff? This thread is a compendium of excellent information.

Thanks. I still like it I have the tour shaft in it, I got a 5 deep as an experiment too.

Would love to hear a comparison between the two. Specifically ball flight and dispersion. Thanks once more.

Well I'm comparing a 5w to a 3w but the 5deep has similar launch off the deck and it's as long as the 3w for me. It can get a little hooky whereas the Ping just wants to go straight. Both great woods depends on your brand preferences. I think a strong player may want to tip the stock atx more in the 5 deep.

Junkie, what do you use for your long iron/hybrid? Also do you still have your nike 3 wood? I appreciate the answers. Thanks

Hey GJ. Been following this thread religiously since like page 95. I am pretty sure you have had a SLDR 3 wood, but cant remember. If you have, how did you like it? Is it super low spin like the driver? I was thinking of picking one up but cant hit it outside or on even a LM (so its basically a roll of the dice unfortunately). I dont have a fast SS, about 100-105 with a driver according to the simulator we play golf rounds on, but they dont sell clubs. I guess i am worried that the 3 wood being to low/spin or launch. My current 3 wood is a Nike VRS with the stock 70 something gram shaft, not the Covert but the model before that. Also a Adams tour issue 9033f with a blueboard 63s with the high launch mill pattern.

I was also looking at the Adams Tight Lies 16' stiff with stock shaft (the standard not the tour, not sure if you've tried that or not). Curious what you might suggest also to try. I dont really like deep faced fairways. We have a Dick's sporting goods, but its pretty lame. Very few options, and no tour models like Nike CT tours or any ''player'' clubs. I prefer them on the smaller/traditional shaped heads.

Thanks. Much appreciated.
Ryan

EDIT: no Ping clubs at our Dick's Sporting Goods. I dont know if you remember what the VRS, 9033F looks like but i really like the size and shape of these fairways.
