Working on the finish of my Tess.  Ping sight says it is stainless, but a magnet sticks to it.  Well anyway I plan on torching it after sanding out the rough spots.  What kind of finish can I expect with this. Will I see the blues and purples or will I just get the wheat color.  I'm hopeing there is a good amount of carbon in it since a magent sticks.  Any feed back would be great

Looks cool, I darkened my Tess with caswells stainless steel darkener. If you torch it for a longer duration you should get the blues if that is what you were looking for.

The blues would have been cool, but I could only get so much with a propane torch.  Was thinking about the caswell but this route seemed easier since I could get a torch at wal mart.  I could always take it to work with me and hit it with the torch there if I want to make it darker, but for now I'll stick with this.  It looks cool in my eyes and for a thirty dollar putter out of the used bin it will work for now.
