pick up a set of powerbeats for the range and skullcandy over the ear headphones. both of these combined are about 200. a set of beats are about 200-400 depending. i had the studio's and after about 3-4 hours my eears started to hurt. not recommended.

^ I was thinking the same thing!
Why in the world would you want to practice with headphones on?!?!? If 90% of our feel comes from sound and you are listening to music what in the world are you trying to accomplish through these practice sessions??? I could see if you were just warming up or getting loose but this seems like a terrible idea.

To each their own! Some times it's good when you got hacks on range giving tips to their kids or girlfriends and it really loud and you don't wanna hear it!
This why I used earbuds. Sometimes on a busy range, with hacks giving tips to each other, you can't move. That's when I plug in the headphones.
