Have the S+ 62 in my 913D3.  It feels great but spins too much.  I have tried the lowest and most fade biased setting and it launches high and spinny.  I know the D+ 72 spins less and flies lower, but I don't want to rule out the RIP Alpha 60 or the Phenom.  Any feedback on these in terms of flight, feel and spin?

Well the S+ 62 was a bad choice for low launch low spin.  The D+72 is a good choice, I have that in X-stiff.  Really any of the shafts are better than what you got

I demoed the D+, RIP and Phenom extensively.  I own a D3 and D2 both 9.5.  The RIP Alpha works best for me.  Lower spin and lower launch than the Phenom  The D+ or improved Ahina just does not work for me.   I swing 108 with quick downward move and the Alpha just suits me best.  And between the two heads, I prefer the D3.  I will be selling the D2 Phenom combo.

Sorry to take over this thread. just quick, how would the Proforce V2 66g Stiff compare to the S+62?

yep.  Blue is for people need more help to get the ball up in the air faster and higher.  i have the RIP 60 and its a nice, easy swinging shaft that will knock some spin off and launch a good bit lower... more piercing ball flight,  when i get the 913 i will look into getting a D+ 72 S or 62 X.  that would be my question  which is better for me.. 62X or 72S in the D+ OR the phenom... ahh choices!!

Okay, I have a smooth transition and try to release late.  If you had to guess, would the Alpha suit my swing type or would the D+ profile fit me better?

Can't guess on that one but I am sure others here will be able to help you I am sure.  Alpha is a fairly  stout shaft and can take most anything anyone can throw at it.  Good luck

I have played the RIP alpha in numerous offerings and for me it seems to have a bit more spin than the D+.  Don't get me wrong, I love the RIP; but the D+ seems much smoother and has a really good feel as well.  I have been getting pretty good numbers and results with it up to this point.

With a 95 to 100 SS.  What would you go with the RIP Alpha 60 or the RIP Phenom 60?

Rene - the Phenom 60 Stiff would be better for you, certainly, with your swing. I tried the 60 and it was absolutely wonderful, but I want to try the 60 and 70 outside with the D2 and D3 sometime.

Coming out a 910 D3 9.5 Proforce V2 66-S - Mixed and matched abit tonight and Actually loved the D2 with the Phenom 60-X -  BOOOMMMBBBBSSS.... :-)

Was surprised I actually much prefered the D2. numbers were still really good. Doesnt seem to balloon like the 910D2 did for me.  Phenom shaft is a real smooth feeling shaft I really like it. Tried it up against the AD6-X and the AD was a much higher flight for me but still felt great.

Thanks.  Im looking for a fitting cart that has it locally.  Id like to try it out.  I think its probably similar to the stock R11s RIP Phenom that performed well for me.

I would like to know about this, as well.  I'm currently playing the same 910 combo as chillr710 for my driver.  Playing a Diamana Blue 83g Stiff in my 3 wood and love it.

The 913 D2 is supposed to launch and spin the same as the 910 D3...only with improved forgiveness and draw bias.  You liked the Phenom that much?  I may need to try the 70g version!

Do you just not get very good numbers with the D+?  Just curious.  I'm leaning towards the Phenom for myself but I haven't hit any of the combo in a LM yet so we'll see.

Yeah the Phenom felt really really good! (60-X) probably the softest feeling X I have hit. I'd like to tinker a little with a stronger X and see how it goes. - Ive got a hour hour 1 on 1 fitting session next week with him. Where we will be hitting prov's instead of the range balls. SS was a consistent 113mph, ball speeds were up mid-high 160s. 913's are a good thing.
Id like to give the D3 another shot as I prefer a smaller looking head but hey if the D2 works ill go with it.

I ordered my D2 stiff with the S+ tipped 1/2, felt good and hit it descent but was just a bit light for what I'm used to and seemed to be more fade oriented for me.
I bought a new Titleist Rip Phenom 70 stiff from a trusted seller. I am happy to report the feel and performance were really good for me.  The Phenom is very underrated and is perhaps best of the stock offereings for many golfers especially with the smoother swingers, I could really feel the shaft kick at impact.

I've played the Phenom 80 in a FW & I liked it.  Comparable to an Aldila NV 75 but added benefits are more stable feel & slightly lower spin.  Great FW shaft in my opinion

Amazing. I could really see myself playing the 913D2 and F with the Phenom. Heck, the H, too!
