Guys,
I'm looking into getting a Bobby Grace AMG 18 and was wondering if there are a few of you out there that have tried his putters. The sweet spot is supposed to be more generous with this particular insert. I love the feel of a softer insert like a White Ice. Any feed back on how Bobby Grace putters feel and roll in comparision to other premium putters would be greatly appreciated. I'm on the brink of ordering one but there are no returns and i hate the idea of spending $250 then hoping I like it. Thanks much!!
Steve

I had a Triumph and got rid of it. Zero distance control. Straight though.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm surprised to hear that. One of his main selling points is the insert providing consistant distant control on off center hits.

I have an F-18...I just can't get the feel of it, but it rolls very true.  However, it's heading to BST soon.

If you like a soft insert, there is no choice other than Grace.  I can't imagine having distance control problems with them at all, due to the MRR technology.  You won't be disappointed.

I have three if his putters, 2 with the MRR face insert and they handled all my distance control issues. You of course still have to make a good stroke but it always goes the same distance no matter where in the face you hit it. Great putters. And since I live in the area I've been able to get mine fitted by Bobby which was fun too.

Bobby Grace makes the best inserts in the business IMO. You can order any of is putters with any insert he makes. If you want a soft insert or a tour firm you can get it in any putter he makes along with the mrr face. All you have to do is give him a call and request it. I have a tour shop putter from him with the tour firm insert and it is the best insert putter I have ever used.

I am a fan of his mallet putters.

I still have his "amazing grace" putter.

that model won a number of signicant tournaments.

It can still be found in tour bags.

have an old macgregor vfoil... classic MOI putter still works great

and I have an HSM shiloh....

alot of users here might not like his insert for how "soft" it is... but I think he makes the best underrated insert in the market... you just have to get over the sound which adds to the "super soft feel" because it has no click what so ever

the HSM rolls great already.. i can only imagine what his MRR is like

Thanks for the feedback. I'll be ordering one soon. I like the feel of a soft insert so it should be right up my alley. I appreciate all the help.
