For some odd reason, the 33's conform, but a lot of the old R and T series wedges don't!
I couldn't even believe that my 52's were conforming, because they spin so much!

Yeah, not really my preference anyway. Might take another look at the Vokey 200/400's, but sheesh...those things still pull a dollar!

It appears that most of Mizuno's "MP" line of irons conform. Although the MP-14 and the MP-29 irons weren't listed on the USGA's database, I remember seeing a WITB thread photo at a Symetra Tour event where a young lady bagged a set of MP-29s. The MP-30 and later are referenced and conforming. My guess is that while the design of the heads changed the groove technology didn't.

Don't worry, it isn't because I am trying to be a tour poser.
Something on the order of the old X-Forged or a Zip groove wedge just shred balls for me. I am thinking about putting the Fg-Tour ball into play with this set, but if I do they won't last long. Also, I am a high spin wedge player - full shots rip off the green.
I have sets of Mizuno, Vokey and Yururi that are non-conforming, so it might be nice to try something else. I have had a couple newer ones (Mp-r12, Mp-t11, etc.) but I figured since the irons are older it might be fun to try wedges that are older as well. Worst case scenario is I send them off to Jim Kronus for a little touch up.

Most pre 2010 wedges are non-conforming to the groove rule. This rules out just about all "old school wedges".

I shouldn't have to tell you that Jack Pearsall is always right, but he is. Hogan Forged were amazing, still are. I had a 50/10 that was the best single wedge i have ever had.

Space..... The final frontier.
My father-in-law carries one of these and Cleveland VAS irons. I'm not even kidding. Seriously just image this for minute. He's brilliant and wealthy though.
