I got fit for a putter today at Studio B.  it was a wonderful experience. Mike and Jimmy were not only top notch in fitting me with the same time and effort that they use for tour players, but the hospitality and attention to detail was impeccable.  Thanks to all involved that led to to this putter Mecca (Tmax, Gary and Keith).   I highly recommend Bettinardi's Studio B !  The only other advise, remember that you can't carry on a putter on a plane. I tried and had to check it in as luggage.

The process was really high tech.  It involved putting while cameras filmed down the line from behind, at impact and from above. They use a computer program that isolates and analyzes the loft at impact, shaft angle, face rotation and aim. It amazed me how right of target I was aiming with some putters and other were left!  I thought I was aiming them all right at the damn hole. Ha ha. They got me fit for lie, loft, and length and grip. There grip selection was awesome !   As with any fitting ,the true magic lies in the fitting expert matching your individual tendancies (which was the analysis) and optimizing your new stick to them.  Which I must say Mike did an awesome job doing. It is nice to know that I am actually aim correctly with a stick fit to my own querky stroke. Now when I put I will only concentrate on the stroke and not wonder if it is something to do with my equipment.

I will post pics of my new stick tomorrow for anyone interested.

Last time I was there, I was deadly accurate with the putter in hand....only problem was that I was continuously hitting the number 1 line left, a full cup left of the hole.  A couple adjustments later, and I was right there (in the hole this time).  I love going to that place!!
