I was out of town on business today and finished up about 2:00, decided there was enough daylight left for some golf. Went to a nice course I have played once before and they had fall rates of $30.00 with powercart so off I go. I teed off at 2:45 was by myself and the course was empty. I wasn't sure how many holes I could get in before dark but I was going to stuck it out till it got black. When I made the turn it was only 3:40, was I suprised. With no distractions I was playing well and it was just hit the ball jump in the cart race over to the ball and hit it again. There was no triple checking yardages, no reading putts from different angles, no second guessing anything just hit the damn ball. I finished 18 with day light to spare, pulled into the parking lot at 4:35, it took just under 2 hours.

I love to walk and enjoy my round and I try not to let slow play bug me too much but man playing like that was a total blast. I ended up shooting 78 which is a good score for me as a 10 hcp, the one and only other time I played this course I shot 84, speed golf is fun.

Anybody else have a really fast round:where they play well and how fast was it ?

Our course is not real long, 6300, but me and my buddy consistently walk it in 2:50.  That is fairly leisurely too, jawing the whole time.  I play much better when you can play faster.  I get into a better rhythm.

Last year on a cool October day I made it around a nearly empty course in a power cart in 1:45 to shoot a 79.  No swing thoughts, no hesitation, just hit it, drive up and hit it again. Played quick but didn't rush.  It was a blast.  A little disappointed I didn't get a chance to try it again this year.  As of yesterday my season is over.

I walked my hometrack which is around 6800 yds in about 2 hrs and 20 min. I don't remember exactly what I shot but I remember playing well.

My main course i walk in 2:40 for 18 consistently. If i have a cart i can get down to 2 hours if not waiting for people.

70 minutes and that just because I ran up on a group on the 17th green and played 18 home with them. I was a day that my course was having a shotgun tournament in the afternoon and I showed up about 70 minutes before it was going to get started. They let me take a cart out and told me to just come in when the participants were rolling out. I figured I'd be playing nine but kept playing when I made the turn in just under 30 minutes. Think I shot a 75 that day as a 1 hdcp. This was on a course I played hundreds of time before and reading greens was not really necessary....no lost balls either just hit, drive up to ball and hit again. GPS in carts as well so yeardages were perfect all the time as well. The only time I felt rushed was when I ran up on the group on 17 and though that might screw me out of finishing the complete round. The tournament rolled out when we were teeing off on 18. This was a fun round and I could see taking an extra couple of minutes though and actually lining up a couple of shot just a tad better. I'd do it again though in a heartbeat but it's most likely not gonna happen. Just perfect the scenario and timing that one day.

I had a cart and nobody was around and I was just getting up there and whacking the putts. Had one of my best days ever. Shot a 66 and did it in 88 min.
