I have a Ping Berylium Nickel Scottsdale Anser putter that I picked up recently and want to play with. I needed to add 1" to the shaft and new grip which I have done and now need to change the lie form 72* to 69* to match my other Anser style putters.

The club fitter/builder I have do these adjustments wasn't sure how safe it was to bend Nickel do we didn't.

Anyone know how easy it is?

When you try to bend these putters they explode leaving a toxic mist in the air.

Seriously, they are no issues bending this putter 3 degrees.

Thanks. It's good to know you don't need a Hasmat suit to work on it. Seriously, we were just concerned about how brittle in might be when bending it.

My Ping ISI nickle wedges had a loft adjustment of 2* so changing lie of a nickle putter is a piece of cake.

if I remember correctly (I played the isi nickel irons for years) they are really soft and easy to bend.

I have the same putter and bent mine from 71* to 69* no problem. Used my MR3 which I love by the way. Good taste in putters as well.
