I'm looking to get a new shaft and I have narrowed my choices between the BB 73G Stiff shaft and the WB 63G Stiff shaft. My swing speed is 102-106 MPH with a smooth tempo. My questions are, will the WB launch too low? Any help is appreciated.

Anything? I have a RIP 70S Alpha and it feels like a 2x4. I just want to make sure the BB doesn't feel like that.

I recently bought the WB 63s, and put it into my D2.  Excellent shaft, mid flight, very hot.  My ss is about 108-110, and my normal shaft was a RIP60s, I like the WB better so far.

what difference do you see/feel between the 2. i ask because im playing a rip a 60 and completation going to a wb 63 and my clubfitter says the are very simliar low launching and boardy feeling shafts.

I found that there's nothing low launching about a WB63.   Also, your fitter said a WB63 is boardy?

I don't like the RIP either. I don't think they're boardy, but I do think they feel totally dead. The BB, however is known for its great feel and stability. I've got an 83x in an SQ 2 17*. Amazing feel, but feel is subjective.

I ended up ordering a WB63 from Golfsmith for $118. Hopefully I will be able to get out one more time this year to test it out on the course.

The jury is still out on my WB, I have played 2 rounds with it, the first round was good, the second round was not so good, may have been my swing, might have been the fact it was a little cold.  It felt dead to me the second day, not very responsive.  I was very happy with my RIp, I bought the WB as an experiment because it was so cheap at Golfsmith.

Now that is is turning colder, I will have to wait and see in the spring if the WB will work for me.  I do have a dome near me, so I am going to go there and play with it a little.

The RIP Alpha is just a damn firm / low torque shaft. If you can't load it, it will feel dead. The Diamana shafts will feel more lively for your SS.

Two very different shafts.  I have the DBB 83 in my 3wd and DWB 63 in a G20 8.5 driver.  Yes, DBB launches higher... how high depends on your impact angle.  I prefer DBB profile over DWB.  And, yes the DWB launches lower... how much, again will depend on your impact angle and head loft.

I use a Diamana White Board 64 gram vTL. Which was made for Cleveland, and I was fit by them. It's a stiff shaft and fits an aggressive swinger (lower torque) who loads the shaft with a quick tempo. It's more or less very close to tour specs and has a higher bend point. The home company is Mitsubishi Rayon. IMHO they make good shafts. I would suggest you try before you buy as you may find with the smooth tempo the Blue might be more in your smooth swing dynamics.

Any update on the WB? I've had good luck recently with the BB63 but find it a little light. Nothing that a little lead tape can't fix.

After I got the WB, I ended up getting a Speeder VC 6.2 Tour Spec and put it up head to head with the WB. The spin, launch, and distance numbers I got on the monitor were almost exactly the same and that also translated to the course as well. The main different between the two was that the Speeder felt too firm in the butt section, while the WB was soft, but not too soft. A couple weeks later I sold the Speeder and kept the WB.

I recently have played 6 rounds and have been nailing it right down the middle, hitting more fairways than I ever have in the past. I had interest in the Graphite Design BB, but I'm not going to bother after seeing the results from the WB.

I have an authentic BB 63G, I have a "made for Cleveland" 44 gram shaft, and I have a "made for Cleveland" WB 64TL.  They are all excellent shafts but I prefer the ball flight of the WB.  The BB and the WB are both mid-launch shafts but I get a few more yards with the WB. The RB is definitely a higher spinning shaft and while it feels good, I opt for the WB.   Maybe its because of the lower spin characteristics of the WB???

I have played the blueboard 63 S the last two seasons and find it to be a wonderful shaft. My swingspeed is in the 95 to 100 mph range with a quick tempo and this shaft gives me both accuracy and distance. I too have played the Aldila RIP shaft and though it had a decent feel, it was dead. I don't think I could load it properly.
