Do you find they dry your hands out?  After using them my hands feel like all the moisture
has been sucked out. Even had a few cracks along the thumb they were so dry.... never
experienced anything like this before.

Anyone else notice this?

I use petrol hand warmers and can't say i've noticed this. Perhaps you are allergic to whatever is in your hand warmers?

Are you holding them all the time? I used them to warm my hands, then put them away until I need them again. Maybe keep them in a pocket or something.

Wen I play hockey on the ponds I toss them in my gloves and never have a problem.

Seems pretty predictable to me.  When the weather turns colder, the cold air can't hold the humidity, so humidity is lower.  Add to that warmer temps (from your hand warmer), and it's like the desert on your hands.
