I use good SPF for my face and neck, reapplying every 2 hours and the resulting sun damage has been minimized greatly. I also wear long pants and arm sleeves, even in heat of summer.

However, my lip balms have failed to perform. I reapply SPF lip balm every 3-4 holes but still get sunburns on my lips after a round of golf.  Brands I've tried are:
Blistex 30
CVS 45 + aloe
Chapstick 30

Any good suggestions?

Bullfrog...my parents sail, my Dad uses it (very fair, burns, and has had growth removed from his lip)...it tastes terrible, but works great.

Bullfrog is great for sun protection.  Aquaphor is the best for after the round when you have dry, cracking, etc lips.

This one!
Actual size: 3" x 1" diam.

I've had the same stick in my golf bag for the last three (3) years. It has not melted or even difformed/gotten soft because of the 90°+F temperatures.

Expensive? Yes, compared to others, $20 CAD but, it will still be in the bag next year. (Same tube)

I also use it in cold weather at season's end (more than in the summer, actually). Used sparingly, doesn't run, not sticky, tasteless, 60 SPF. Great product!

EDIT: Recognized by the Canadian Dermatology Association

Burt's Bees lip balm.  It has natural essential oils and herbs that actually soak into your lips to heal and keep them moisturized.  As opposed to many of the other brands which are full of synthetic junk, that never really heals skin at all

This is the best stuff on the market IMHO.  I always carry one with me no matter where I go!
