Bonjour

I've got a px 6.0 in my nike VR LE. It's too light and i'm far to aggressive for it. I have an Aldila proto 85 x in my 3 wood and love it. I doubt i actually need an x flex i just love the way it feels, ball flight and dispersion. What could i look at in driver shafts that will be heavier than the px 6.0?

Driver SS is about the 105mph mark.

I've seen GD YSQ 75g in stiff going for £50. Would that suit?

cheers ballers

(no, i'm not french ;) )

I'd look for a deal on the UST Axivcore Tour Green, 85g for driver & 95g fairway woods.  Probably the most affordable for a shaft that has bend profile ovarall that is "true to flex" and also a stiff tip section, low torque, and heavier weight

Ok cool thanks.

I'm sure having all my launch monitor numbers would help but i'm purely going on feel for this one.

Cheers :)

Where about are you based in the UK.  I may have Aldila NV 95 available. I doubt that the PX from Nike is original spec either as 6.0 should handle your swing speed.

Channel Islands. it's no where near a 6.0 like the iron shafts. I find 6.0 iron shafts ok but just a bit on the stiff side. This on the other hand is like a whip! Something isn't right as i hit my 906f4 3 wood nearly as far.

The 6.0 is weak but the 6.5 is a very good shaft. Find an untipped pull and I bet you'd be happy with it.

Yes probably the weight will be the same though. I'd like to gain some overall weight (not swing weight) to gain some feel. I think i'm right in saying the px is around the 60g mark so probably 75-80g would be noticeable :)

I've just ordered the UST axivcore tour green in 75g stiff. It'll be going in at 44.5 inches standard trimming. Looking forward to getting rid of the PX 6.0 :D
