Thanks for the feedback shane.  This is something I am working on for sure.

In this video at 3:30 talks about buckling your left wrist and it doesn't allow to hinge properly.  I have never had this problem but non the less it has happen to me.  In my back swing my left wrist buckles so much that it cups bad and locks my arms up not allowing me to hinge my wrist.  From there it just creates a terrible down swing not allowing me to release the club and I have started shanking out of nowhere.  It might be from playing about 10 days straight and my wrist are tired but I have spent the past four days trying to figure it out and it gets worse and worse. (over thinking I'm sure).

Yesterday i had a lesson with Monte and it went well and I was hitting the ball.  Still feels uncomfortable and almost feels like I forgot how to even grip the club since i try so many different things now.   I just need to hinge instead of buckle my left wrist. and not come in with an open face.

i do not right now no.

martin,  i have always had a bit of a cup. you can see in the 7 iron video it is cupped but striking the ball well.  I feel like it is something in my wrist and/or grip because at the top of the backswing it feels like my wrist is cupping even more and almost feels like it is restricting my wrist hinge.

As i stand in my living room and try and swing I can feel it.  It feels like my right hand rolls forward and my left wrist cups.  Funny thing is when i let my right elbow fly a little more rather than be tucked it feels complete normal and i swing and release.

I could just be over thinking all of this way too much.

If I put you on Trackman, I bet I'd see excessive swing direction numbers on the negative side (left). My quick look says wrist conditions. If you can't bare to change that, then lets attack path directly.. Feel like your weight stays on your left foot more throughout your swing AND keep your left knee flexed during your downswing, almost to impact. That should get your path from getting outside your target line too much. If you hit it right doing this, you'll know you need a face correction via grip and wrist conditions. Good luck, you'll get though it.

Forgot to ask.  Do you have any drills or points to fix the wrist condition?  I feel like my right palm is hinging towards me instead of up like holding a dinner plate.  when it does that it literally pushes my left wrist to the point where it feels like it locks my arms up.

Thanks again.

I do. Go to my products website, www.tourstriker.com and watch the complimentary video associated w my Educator product. Overall nice swing though.

So Martin, I've just watched your stuff and some reviews about the educator. It seems like its the perfect training tool to stop the flip, the dreaded dumping of my leverage. Am I correct in that thinking? BTW, thanks for taking your valuable time to post here, give advice, go out of your way, etc. I live in Chandler, wondering if I can come by and purchase this at the Raven?

It's an awareness tool. Is it pixie dust? No, but it will help you understand wrist conditions and timing. I'm at Cooper and Ray. Come on over and I'll show you how to use it.

Shank free round.  Actually ended up playing pretty well and started off par on the first 4 holes which mentally put me right back in the game.  Made a lot of GIR today but 3 putted 6 times!

Amazing how mental the shanks are.
