a twosome comes flying up to the tee box in their cart hollering at my buddy asking if he minded if they hit. he had just teed off he and i were walking. he said he didnt care, i was livid but didnt say anything. i turned back gave him a look like he was a class A retard and kept walking to my ball. im a 9+ capper and my buddy isnt horrible. i thought that was pretty brazen to ask to play though. on the 2nd tee i  see the guy who asked to play through, hit into the woods then over the green. i wanted to hit into them but had to wait on my buddy to hit. from the 2nd green i see the guy hacking all over the course and i teed off. his buddy that he was with got the message, they picked up their balls and moved on. i know what i did wasnt right just a little ticked off. i wouldnt have had a problem if they jumped up a hole, even though thats still debatable on the etiquette scale.

"I know what I did wasn't right"

Yep, you couldn't have been more wrong.

Sorry Sir, but there's never NEVER a time when its ok to hit into someone.

"got the message"

And what message would that be? That its ok to hit into someone when they are holding you up? Because that's exactly what you conveyed.

Hopefully you learned from your mistake.

haha, some people are so crazy.  No doubt its never cool to hit into someone, but that is a separate issue.  What those people did is hilariously ridiculous.  I dont understand why people want to play thru when they play slow, completely defeats the purpose, lol.

You should have hit into your buddy for letting them play through. BTW, could you refresh us on the different classes of retards? Is a "Class A" retard the best, or the worst?

I personally think that sometimes its necessary.

Got stuck behind a group once saw they were super slow (not being ready to hit, staying in cart instead of looking for ball, etc.). Asked the Marshall to put them on the clock. He did and they didn't speed up. Asked the Marshall again and he said there's only one way to get my point across. I hit into them and they sped up

I doubt the marshal would have stepped up and covered your legal costs if you had injured someone. I think you were both DB's. Especially the marshal for not having the balls to enforce pace of play.

I'm sure you spending a little more time on the golf course would have been worth the assault charge.

You're the class A retard the OP is talking about.

This shocks me...no matter how annoying or slow, it is never OK to hit into a group.  Are you guys stupid?  Potentially causing serious injury or death because you're feeling held up?  I hope to god I'm never on a course with you, more particuarlly, on a course with you and one group ahead of you.

As a father of two young children who go out to golfing with me, I hope I never run into a knuckledragger like you on the course.  This is a game for gentlemen, you sir belong on a mini course being challenged by windmills.

Learned a long, long, time ago that sometimes even when you're right ( in how you feel) you're still wrong ( in how you act). Hey, you're preaching to the choir here. These folks ruin golf,  and are genuine, 100% you fill in the blanks, BUT again, as OPs said, two wrongs do not make a right. Also, really, really consider if you hit one of them you could be facing criminal and civil charges. Just let'em go on their merry way and enjoy yourself. Karma will get them in the end. My fantasy in life is to own my own course, open to the public and anyone who wants to play 8 to 80, scratch to 120+s, has to spend 20 minutes with the pro (certainly not me). Pro says yes or no to let you out, and if you fool us once you 'just ain't welcome to come back.' Sound ridiculous? Well, consider I said FANTASY. Unfortunately golf is like every other aspect of life. There's good and then there's... At 66 years old I'm happy to say that the good I've encountered in/from golf makes the bad seem insignificant.

OP has to just be looking for a reaction.  No one posts something like that unless they want to get flamed.  I have been struck in the head with a golf ball (at the range moron next to me hosel rocketsit at a 45* angle, ball hits post in between us, I get hit in the temple.)  Being hit with a golfball has VERY serious consequenses.  I'm glad you didn't hit them and you should be too.  No one deserves to have their health threatened on a golf course...

People like you should be banned from playing golf. The guy on the 1st tee was out of order, but what you did was 10x worse.

Golf is a slow game, usually taking around 4 hours to play a round. I can't understand why people seem to get in to such a rush to finish as soon as they set foot on the course, and start acting like an idiot in order to do so. If you haven't got time to play at a leisurely pace, find another sport. If you have, relax and enjoy it.
