I would love to hear some more information on this shaft.  Even if it was in the R1 tell us about the shaft not the head.

I am very interested in this shaft as well.....I am looking for a shaft that is stiff in tip and mid, but soft in the butt.  So far shafts on my list are (not sure if the below all fit that profile?):

- Ahina
- Kiyoshi White
- Speeder Tour Spec
- Tour AD BB

They don't.

I hate the Devotion. Really nothing great. Not as low spin as the claims say. And not the fairway hunting machine the Kiyo White is.

Kiyo white feels great, launches low/mid, spins low and perfect, and absolute tight dispersion. A nice tight kick, nothing loose.

This is the most accurate graphite shaft I've ever played in over 30 years of golf. The softer butt section allows for more feel than most low launch/spin shafts. I mean its nice to have a Low/Low that doesn't feel like rebar. I've always been a huge Fuji fan and I'm really impressed with the new .3 series as they offer very similar performance to the OKW. However, in my personal test, both in a R1 head, the OKW won by a narrow margin with the difference being accuracy.

Maybe you should add Devotion was nothing great FOR YOU. Devotion is a superb shaft at the price point and competes with many outside its price point. A shaft should be fitted for the players specifics. Just because it didn't work for you doesn't mean it's a bad shaft.

Obviously the opinion is in my hands.... As are all WRX posts.

I thought my comment was warranted. They DO NOT compare.

Devo for me was just average.  I've heard a lot of people make the "for its price" claim.  Well for "its" price the VTS Silver/Black or even Axiv is better, and I haven't even mentioned Accra yet.

Kiyo White has absolutely won the battle out of everything I've hit. But I will say that Gawain's Accra Tour Z he fitted me into still win the ballspeed contest in the R1.  By a slim margin. But the Kiyo White just hits a consistent carry and total always on target.

By far the best dispersion on a driver shaft I have seen.

I got a chance to try this in a Nike Covert Tour head as I can live with it. Very nice shaft although I actually hit the Fuji Fuel a little better as I had more of a fade with the Oban which I'm not used too. Not a bad flight but for now I'm not letting my Fujikura Motore Speeder vc 6.2 ts leave my Nike Covert Tour.

So I cut most of my shafts down to 43" (44" with head) from the butt.  Is the 3" I take off the end going to remove the "soft butt" region of this shaft?  How much room do I have to work with?

Any data on spin rates for the OKW vs the Tour Spec? I am using the TS 6.2 in my R1 and want a touch more feel. May look at the OKW or the TS .3. Thanks.
