I am having my irons replated in black chrome by kj polishing.  Should i get a mirror finish or satin finish?  What do you think?

I'm kinda curious - How durable are those finishes? I think my 690.MB's would look sweet in black chrome...

One word of caution...  I'm not familiar with kj polishing, but I have seen sets of heads ruined when the chrome is removed and a black finish is applied.  The chrome accounts for a lot of head weight, and if the "new" finish applied isn't equally as heavy, you will end up with really light heads.  I was looking at a set of awesome looking MP37's that had been finished in black, yet when I asked what the "new" swingweights were, I found they were C-6 - not exactly playable....

Like all others have said, I would go with the Satin as well... I don't think you will be disappointed.

I myself love the shiny black chrome, the glare has never bothered me.

Here is what it did for my Mizuno's. I think I would have gone with satin if I had to go back...hope that helps!005.jpg

That looks pretty nice to me.  Why would you prefer satin?  Is the mirror chrome too bright?  Does it highlight too many defects?  I am leaning towards the mirror chrome but I am open to satin.
