I can't hit the green from 200 yards.  I don't think I've hit it all year.

Last year its a MP53 5 Iron all day.  This year it's 4 or 5 iron pull hook 180 yards short and left.  Usually a smother hook.

My game has gone to shiiiiit and im glad the season is over lol

Haha now there is some honesty!  You meant to say "I am so good with my wedges from 30 yards and in that I usually try to leave myself that distance to make par or birdie"

It entirely depends on the wind. Playing on a links course right next to the sea, it can be anything from a 9 iron to my 20 degree hybrid. In perfectly still conditions I'd probably use a 6.

I honestly couldn't tell you right now.  I very rarely have this distance, and it is completely dependent on the hole and conditions. Assuming a flat, even lie, no trouble in front or behind the hole, minimal wind, and warmish weather, I would hit my 5 iron.   However, this year I have played in so many different conditions. Here is a list of clubs I have hit from 200 yards (from good lies in the fairway):
2 iron
3 iron
4 iron
5 iron
6 iron
7 iron
8 iron
20 deg hybrid
23 deg hybrid

amazing how so many of you guys hit it as far as Rory Mcilroy (5 iron - 200 yards).
i guess his are Irish yards and US yards are a bit shorter.
my Tommy Armour 845 2 iron goes about 200 when i manage to hit it half well.
my old Hogan persimmon 4 wood used to also.
anyhow i am getting used to be outdriven by 60 metres by strong young studs who miss the green with a wedge and  make the same 4 i do.

You're kind of ******, aren't you? What's it to you what other people hit?  It must really suck being you, and being outdriven by 80 yards all day.  Why would anybody bother lying on here?

^ This...Yonex Ezone MB 5 iron but sometimes a 4 iron just depends.

I love the smooth, cut, fade, draw bullxxxx. Every swing you make is intended to be smooth otherwise why make the swing? You also can't dictate whether you are going to hit a draw or a fade just based on a number. What is the wind doing, where is the pin, am I avoiding something, do I need to work it around something? These are all questions that you ask yourself prior to shaping a shot.

That being said I would hit a 5 iron, Bridgestone J36 CB...until January 2014 anyways.

200 carry is a 21* hybrid, 200 rolling is a 3 or 4 iron depending on how well JP's swinging, and the weather and turf.

i20 20* hybrid goes around 210 for me. Next club down is i20 5 iron bent 1* strong so if I really smash one of those in good weather I could get it.

Between my AP2 4 Iron or my 585H 21 Degree. Depends if I want it to bounce back to the pin or fly there and stick.

My new 200yd club is the Mizuno 21* (3 MP H4) - plays like a hybrid.

Previously it would have been my 17* TEE hybrid or my 4 wood.

Off the tee I play a 10.5* Adams Speedline OG with Prolaunch Blue 60S. I like the draw version becuase having an offset face on a driver is awesome. "Ballooning" doesn't come close to describing it. It's a 200 yard lob wedge.
