Anyone here recording their swing with the new Galaxy Note 2?
From what I have read it has slow motion recording at 240fps, they call it 1/8 speed.

Wonder if the stylus will work with the V1 software app on the GN2?
I get my Galaxy Note 2 next week and if the slow-mo recording is close to the quality of my Casio FH100 then I will be selling the FH100.

Sorry quick side note, can anybody tell me which camera is currently best for slow motion swing capture? Around £300 mark

At 480p could you still use it in V1?

That's pretty good for a macro analysis, but I love how you can see the clubface angle with the FH100.

You can use whatever the Iphone does, so I assume you can use 480p in ultra-slow motion.

Only 480p is no big deal....its enough.

I wonder how big the vids get?

Just wished I could achieve something similar with my Galaxy S2 and Ice Cream SW!

The combination of "auto shutter" and low resolution, like 480p, excludes the ability to see the club face angles.

But not 240fps, not even close. Youtube is kind of bad place also as it doesn't always show all the frames. It might have been 240 as original but that what we see is not.
Anyway much better than I thought and even with that light it works pretty well

Of course it's 240 fps.  Take away to impact is around 12 seconds when played back at normal youtube speed (30 fps).  240/30 =8.  Divide 12 sec. by 8 = 1.5 sec. which is even a little long for a slow tempo.

It's not 240 when it plays there IMO.  It can still take that time but many frames are missing there.

People are stating facts.  it may suit 99.99998% of the world for filming a golf swing.  But these 240fps are not the same as the 240fps of an FH100 with 1/2000th shutter.  If people are going to switch their phones so that they can get a 240fps rival to the FH100, they will be upset when it doesn't do it.

Yeah, it's fine for what most will use it for but shutter speed is way too slow to stop action the clubhead.

Everyone made some great points here and much appreciated. Never thought about the shutter speed issue. Thats a great point. When I get my GN2 I will do some comparisions and let you guys know.

That 240fps video is impressive but has to put a huge strain on the battery.

Not sure if the GN2 is an auto shutter but if it adjusts more than the iris in brighter light situations it may be acceptable in bright sunlight for most.

Light is the key for high speed video.  More light makes everything look better....
