This would be cool. Oakley makes great stuff. I love there quality and fit of clothing, and the sunglasses are made in USA.

He has a royalty deal, not ownership.

Really? I always thought of Bubba as a southern frat boy from UGA not a too cool for school surfer dude from LA. To me Bubba is the anti-travis. I always thought it was an awkward sponsorship.

Funny- I always thought he was the opposite of the vibe the image TM promotes.  Different strokes...

Maybe you guys confused Boo Weekley with Bubba Watson.

Bubba is pretty hyper-sensitive and plays with a lot of heart and soul. Even surf culture is 99% about soul these days. I thought he was a great TM ambassador.

Alas, this is the season of cashing in.

Even though Boo and Bubba are practically from the city, no one is confusing those two. Boo is the farthest thing from a SEC college frat boy, just as Bubba is the farthest thing from a hunting woodsman. Bubba might be closer to a hunting woodsman than a surfer though.

I heard whoever is sponsored by TM owns a piece of them. I guess that's how they play their players

So Bubba and Rickie can be the most awkward dressed golfers of 2013.

While Oakley has made some nice clothes their players never seem to wear it well and I don't see Bubba breaking that trend.

Bubba is just as far from SEC southern frat boy as Boo Weekley is.  Unless we are talking about the kind of fraternity that will take anybody or some of the redneck fraternities.

Wouldn't surprise me as Bubba will follow the money and with Rory leaving Oakley they need someone on tour.  But honestly I'm not even sure why oakley is in golf.

He needs to stop buttoning his shirt all the way to the top.

Will he wear the glasses as well?  To me, nobody wears them better than Poulter right now.  TM clothing was blah IMO, Ashworth would have been a good fit sans club deal.  Hope they don't elevate his "line" in price, already sky high.  Question still remains...his shot the best this year or was it the flop on 16 at Muirfield Village?  Even better, was Bubba's shot better than Phil's a few years back?

well, oakley would have fallen off the map had they not signed someone like Bubba. I sold a ton of Oakley gear this year and guys love it. Interestingly enough though it was mostly after Rory won an event.

I agree. IMO it was a strange match. Plus the whole top button being buttoned thing was odd fit also.

Yeah maybe with sunglasses but i'm talking overall golf apparel. Honestly Oakley makes great shades but clothes are horrible and no one buys it or wears it.  Puma (which i'm not a puma guy) has a million little ricky fowlers running around and Ian Poulter winning all kinds of tourneys
