How do these balls stack up to each other? I believe Gamer is 3 piece vs 2 piece Q Star. Other than that are they comparable balls?

Kind of. The Gamer spins marginally more and feels slightly firmer (though not firm overall). Q-Star felt better to me off the putter, and seemed to launch fairly high overall.

For me the QStar is straighter, shorter, softer and spins less.

Obviously that means the Gamer is longer, firmer and spins more.

I prefer the feel of the gamer off the putter.

+1

He summed it up perfectly and I too prefer the Gamer over the Q-star.

I played z stars all year and when I switched to gamers int the fall the one thing I did not like is feel off putter. I may continue to buy used z stars but am looking for something cheaper if I want to go with new balls.
