If you contact the Wilson Staff representative in there headquarters in Chicago, they will provide a mailing address to send it to for evaluation.
They will replace each defective one with a new sleeve of three.
I had covers crazing but never cracking.
They stand behind there equipment and customer service is excellent.
Good Luck!

Odd that pic sure does look like the product that I get when I take my pipe cutter to a ball.

I'm done with the DUO....!!!! I gave them a second chance and I was let down again. The ball pictured below was brand new out of the box today and completely cracked in half off the 9th tee. 98 SS in 50 degree sunny SoCal.
This ball was from a different batch than my last failure. Great ball for the price but my dad always told me "you get what you pay for"

Don't let someone's experience with a ball sway yours.  Too often you have people who hate a brand or are overly affectionate for a brand.  Find the ball that works for you and it involves a lot of trial and error.  While I don't think the Duo is the end all it is an enjoyable ball to play and is inexpensive.  I love it because i prefer soft impact golf balls which reduces vibration when struck and therefore not as bad for my arthritis.  I have tried just about everything out there each ball has its pros and cons you just have to rank them to decide what ball is the best for your game and pocket book.  I have 3 balls that I alternate depending on weather and course conditions.  Duo, Qstar, Z-Star XV all in Yellow I like being the only person where I play using Yellow Balls makes it easier to find mine and easier to track in the air.  Based on all of my trial an error the QStar is my #1 ball because it is inexpensive, durable, lower compression, low driver spin, and has surprising effects around the green.

I cracked a Duo yesterday on the sixth hole of play.  I hit driver off the tee and noticed the ball nosedived hard no more than 80 to 100 or so yards out in flight.  After cleaning the mud off, I found a crack in the cover that nearly covered half of the circumference of the ball.   It was one of the last balls I had in an experimental dozen I picked up after reading about the ball here.

OT, but years ago I played TopFlites, which would occasionally break in half.  My golf buds opinion was that by rule I had to play out the hole using both halves.

*sigh* Uncle Dan told me that I shouldn't swing 150 because it'll destroy my lower back and I'd never be able to play the piano again. *sigh*

I played the Duo last half of last year.  Never had the cracking problem.  I flat out love the ball I used to use ProV1X but much prefer the Duo. Hope the problem gets worked out.  Plan to use the Duo for 2013 we will see.

I don't recall having any ball crack on me.  I have played Wilson 50/50, Zips, cheaper ProStaff 360s (love them) plus other Wilsons and I never had one crack.  DItto for Callaways, all sorts of Top Flite D2s, Gamer V2, Pro V1s and 1x and many others.  I need to try the Duo.

I've posted a couple of threads about the Wilson Duo which I absolutely love. I must say that I have not had any problems with it other than one; they are cracking. I've only played three balls in 9 rounds and 2 of 3 have cracked. My swing speed is not that fast and I usually hit it down the fairway or slight rough. The ball is not being abused in other words. I know what you’re thinking maybe I should change balls occasionally but I’ve never had this happen. I wanted to see how durable it would be. Could this be a manufactures issue?  Or is anyone else having this problem?

Love me some duo.  Never had a cracked one and even if I do, it won't stop me from using them unless it happens a bunch to my golf balls.

To me , these balls are like a training aid:  It is very Easy for me to judge the quality of my shots.  It is easy for me to tell how much I compressed the ball.  It's a weird feeling when a flush a 3 wood or Driver...  squashhhh, . !

I routinely play the same Pro V1x for 3 or 4 rounds (with some luck while searching for those errant shots) and have never had one crack.  To suggest that all balls crack after 3 rounds is simply ridiculous.  There are balls in the hitting bay at the local Golfsmith that are almost worn smooth from overuse, that still don't have cracks.

To the OP:  You have defective balls (sorry couldn't resist).  Seriously, contact Wilson, I'm sure they would like to get their hands on them (that wasn't meant to be funny) for some testing.

But it was funny!

I've been playing them for about three months and have had no issues. Actually tried the new Lethal and went back to the Duo. But if you've had this problem I would definitely contact Wilson.
