Q about rain pant sizing (FJ Tour)

I haven’t ordered rain pants before, and I have a simple question: are rain pants sized to fit your waist, or for your waist size plus the pants you have on? Since I’m typically wearing rain pants over a pair of pants/shorts, do I order my usual size 38, or do I go up a size. If it matters, I’ll be ordering FJ Tours.

I went a size up and it was a mistake as they were too long, which caused a problem. So I went with my normal pant size and they were perfect.

The manufacturer will always state in the description the size and what size they expand to (4" to 6" usually) so you can order properly. If you can't find the information, just give customer service a call.
