been playing the last couple of days. i like the nuketown a la cart map. i wonder if this is indicative of future offerings, being able to pick what map you want

Black Ops 2 is the best one so far by a long shot (3 wood) haha. The respwans are kind of annoying as heck on certain maps but the gameplay is legit.

best COD yet. the xbox live gameplay has a totally different feeling to it than any of the others, which i like a lot. i really liked COD 4, and this one blows it away. although i didnt really care for the first black ops...

i didnt preorder it and i still got nuketown 2025... of course i bought it the day it came out so it may have been a preorder overstock.

yeah i didnt preorder it either, nuketown was just included. doublexp's this weekend, leveling up like crazy.

I have it, but I don't really enjoy it as much as the first Black Ops.  Every CoD is kind of camper-friendly, but there just to be so many corners to hide behind in this one.  The maps don't seem terribly condusive to my 'run around as fast as you can with a shotgun' style of play.  I'll keep at it though, not putting the game down yet.

^ some levels are awful for camping... like that stupid old city thats full of sand and rocks on the outskirts with different elevations.  Too many buildings and windows.

I haven't gotten deep in one since World at War. Just haven't liked any of the maps since that one, love small board run and gun maps and just can't get into any if ten.

I play it every day, and absolutely love it.  It can be just as frustrating as golf though.

I like MW3. MW2 was the best one IMO.

I think the guns sound more realistic and the overall gameplay just has a different feel to it. Hard to describe but it's all for the better... except there are lots of places to camp on the maps if you're into that, which I'm not.

I usually run n gun which leads to getting shot the first time he fires after i drop a whole clip into him. That frustrate me beyond belief and usually leads to finding something else to do, but that's nothing new.

I'm not into that.

I like MW2 and 3 because I run around as quick as possible, I enjoy chaotic fast respawning with lots of kills, not slow objective-based gameplay. I can't do Battlefield. 95% of the time I play FFA or KC currently.

Currently black ops 2 is using a score per minute matchmaking system so for the most part if you are a run and gunner, you play against other run and gunners... Campers play against campers. I am a run and gunner also but I carry a sniper rifle secondary and I always get paired against quickscopers and run and gunners. In my clan, we always join the weakes players lobby so that they don't get shat on hard

I play that game also.  I kind of use CoD as my escape from a long day at work.  I am glad to see that I am not the only golfer playing CoD

I got the map when i bought the game the day it came out so i can still play it, just not online (or at least i havent come across it). you can still play it under custom games with friends in a private match. there was a specific option to play "Nuketown 2025 24/7" for the first week or so.

apparently the games designer, Treyarch, pulled it from online multiplayer playlists. according to some game news site i found through google, treyarch said "it will be back as a single map playlist for Double XP weekends or other special events."

From my understanding, that's exactly what it is. Everywhere I've found says Nuketown 2025 is a "special event" & double XP map.

Very typical for COD devs to run a popular playlist then take it away, They did it a few different times on MW3 with some of the hardcore modes. Also took drop zone away in the begging and final brought it back after the community kept complaining.

I can still play Nuketown...just not 24/7. It's in the BONUS -->CHAOS/MOSHPIT playlist. It's a group of maps and gamemodes. I must say, Headquarters on Nuketown is chaos

I've been putting in some time on Blops2 as well.

I like it but still not my favorite COD, they go: MW1, BLOPS1, BLOPS2, MW2, MW3

The gameplay initially felt little faster and more SMG oriented to me.  I've struggled with developing a play style on this game as it feels like you have to run an SMG and hipfire your balls off, however, I've started to slow things down a little bit (playing more like BLOPS1) and I'm getting more consistent scores and k/ds (still haven't found the perfect scorestreak set up to get the huge scores yet).

Gun suggestions from what I've seen: PDW, M27, SWAT (with select fire set to automatic), M8A1, and my personal favorite right now.... the HAMR

Spot on, though I liked MW3 more than MW2.  But you're right about the playstyle.  The maps feel like they're set up for smg's with only a few exceptions.  For the first week or so the game was out I died so much it was laughable, but like you, once I slowed my pace down a little I started being much more consistent.  And by slow my pace down I more mean checking corners and learning a comfortable path through the maps than anything else.  I still run around as fast as I can with a shotty.  Only difference is now I'm doing it well.  I do miss CODBO1 though.  It seemed much easier to get high streaks by running around.  Like less random deaths and such.

Can't stop playing this game.  Finally getting used to it and have had some pretty good games, though I'm going to start steering away from Team Deathmatch and start playing longer game modes (domination, etc).

Are the Zombies as brutal on the older CODs as they are on this one?  These things are hard to finish off.  And I keep running out of bullets...

the first black ops zombies weren't nearly as difficult as this one is. they are brutal.
