Hey guys, I have a Scotty Cameron Newport with a sole stamp of "350 G  33" ' I was wondering what kind of putter it was as far as model and any other information on it that I can get. From what I have heard, it is pretty rare.

Any help would be much appreciated. I do not have pics on me, but it is the one in the pic, on the bottom.

That is a GB 33/350  It is pretty rare.  I believe the GB AOP are more rare however.

Nice putter whether you hit the jackpot probably depends on the price you paid.

I had the entire set recently as well as a 33/350 Mil-Spec which I put a pic of below. The putters you have shown are fairly rare. They were made for the Japanese market as they prefer shorter putters and the headweights were heavier to keep a consistent swing weight. As for the putters shown there are:

Classic Newport gun blue 33/350 - 100 made
Art of Putting Newport gun blue 33/350 - 100 made
Art of Putting Newport oil can 33/350 - 300 made
Mil-spec Newport 33/350 - Numbers unknown

unfortuately there aren't many that are original.  I know someone who bought on off ebay only to discover that it had been refinished at some ppint and instead of the head being 350 it was only 335 which to me ruined it.  I hope your is one of the good ones.

I had picked it up for $50...well worth it. I am going to send it in to Scotty to have it restored with everything original along with a COA to verify. Any idea on how much it might fetch?

Nice pickup.  Probably will do better without restoration.

Don't restore. It'll be ruined.

Show pics first.

Post pics before you send it in.  It may be worth more without the refinish.

Is the angle on the top-line original? Looks to be a pretty good drop from housel to toe. The patina looks like it has been sanded off, except on parts of the sole, and the paint-fill stripped. Cool putter and rare as well! Nice find and addition to the collection.

Has the finish been sanded off or removed with chemicals ie- a 'Coke' bath?

It appears to be in good shape minus the finish.  If it bothers you there is a couple options.  If it's going to be a gamer maybe send it to BOS for just a refinish and NO remilling.  If it's to be resold have it refinished at the Custom Shop and request refinish and no remilling.  Whether they honor that I'm not sure but even if it needs milling, the weight loss would be extremely minor.
